All the ewes are Type 5 with very good performance recorded figures plus the older (2016 plus) ewes in the group of which there are 9 have produced in their lifetime so far - 14 Type 5 and 6 Type 4 rams 27 Type 5 and 17 Type 4 ewes Average weight of the ET ewes is 83kgs (68.5 to 94.0kgs)

13.01.2022 The exciting time of the year for a stud breeder when the new generation starts to arrive. Very dry but the Merino mothers and their embryo lambs are handling the conditions well. Lambs from Kaya "Kolisi" 180513 and Kaya "Nkosi" 180925. Purebred Dorper ewes lambing at 152% out in the dry without interference and assistance. Very excited about where we are heading with the fertility and the lambing ability while retaining the breed standards.The best animals visually are also our top lambplan recorded animals.

10.01.2022 Kaya 190301 - Winner in the ram lamb class in the "DSSA online show". Found this fella in the "thirds mob". Will need to sack my classer, but unfortunately that was me.

09.01.2022 Flushed 13 White Dorper ewes and transferred 162 embryos. The sires used were Kaya 180591 (110 kgs) who is a son of Kaya 160676 (National Supreme Champion 2018 and Bendigo Grand Champion ram 2019) and Kaya 180533 (129 kgs) a son of Kaya 160363.

07.01.2022 Kaya "Zeus" 160521. Winner in the "endurance ram" class. Dont normally keep a ram for more than 1 season but at 4 years old and 130kgs "Zeus" is off too his new home in NSW.

05.01.2022 Decided to photo catalogue some of the 2017 White Dorper ewes that we have used in our embryo collection programs for our own use and for export. A good percentage of these ewes are daughters of Kaya 140231 "Pepperjack" who was our National Champion in 2016.

04.01.2022 Our 2020 DSSA National Sale team who were also our 2020 drop sires. We will sell 6 Dorper rams and 4 Dorper ewes and the same with our White Dorpers. At Kaya we only use a ram for one season because we trust that he will have produced a son who is better. Those rams then become our National Sale rams and create a great oppurtunity for breeders to use the same genetics that we have used.
