06.01.2022 More core and legs and less arms. Thats the key to getting faster and having more fun with less effort. Do you use your arms too much?... Here is a drill to help with this common problem. Youll need a friend for this one, but thats one of the great things about paddling! meeting new people and making friends! In this drill we show you how to use your whole body on land without even being in the water. Bailey helped me with this video and what were trying to do is rotate from our hips, bend from our knee, and then were pulling with power without bending your elbow. The power comes from the body, legs and the core. Its big resistance -- and youll feel a lot of power as opposed to what most people do (incorrectly) which is pulling with mainly your arm as Bailey demonstrates. I hope this helps.
