25.01.2022 We've adopted a Goose! Meet Lisa. She came from a lovely lil family in Drumborg, and just like us have an array of ducks, chooks and Geese!! We were wanting to add a family of Geese to our mix of layers and Lisa became available. She wasn't thriving as well as her siblings so we offered to take extra care of her. She gets to camp out with our 11 week old chookies, and is now the boss of them! Soon enough she will be the biggest of all our birds!

18.01.2022 We just wanted to put people at ease. This outbreak is near Geelong, not our area that we know as the South West. Rest assured that our girls are happy and healthy and we always take the necessary precautions to safeguard the health of our hens. Our girls roam freely several hundred metres away from the road and our main shed/sales area and we don't allow people past our quarantine area without taking the necessary steps to ensure there's no risk of contamination. ... 12.01.2022 Meet "Duck duck", our pet Muscovy Duck. He broke his wing when he was a few months old, and even though it's healed his feathers have grown side ways. 08.01.2022 Meet Boof! Boof is 6 months old. He was born on Valentine's Day. Boofs favourite things: food (eggs), dirt hills, being silly, cuddles and sleeping. Boofs quirky traits: he smiles, sleeps upside down with his eyes open and trips over grass

07.01.2022 There's always something interesting happening here at Kazs Googs. We've hatched some ducks (Khaki Campbells), as well as chicks (mixed varieties). We are getting vege seedlings ready for the greenhouse. The kids are testing out the swimming dam, prepping for summer. We have a pair of peacocks, currently hiding out in the tall trees. 06.01.2022 Do any local farmers around Heywood have any old or off silage they want to get rid of cheap or swap for eggs/produce? Happy to pick up within a 15km radius. Thanks

05.01.2022 What's everyone been up to? We've been planting potatoes with a lil help from our furry and feathery friends. Our garlic is growing well. We've just removed the scapes and you can buy a bunch of these in our wagon for $2.50, I've been told to fry them up with oil and salt! Removing the scape gives you a 30% bigger bulb! I think we are going to have some whoppers! ... We have 5 more ducklings to join our egg laying crew! Those who are wanting to purchase ducklings, thank you for being patient. Once we have a good hatch rate we will have these lil cuties available for purchase. Our big veggie patch is starting to sprout beans, mix of different varieties, and tasty too!! We hope As usual, dogs and feathered friends keep us entertained. Our new pup Hannah is quite the trouble maker

02.01.2022 This is Wooly Rooster. He was originally meant to be an egg layer, or so we thought as ISA roosters are typically white. He stays up at the house as the other roosters give him a hard time (We think they thought he was a girl too, oops ) He is quite the charmer and makes sure his girls eat before he does. His favourite thing to do atm is come up to the bedroom window and crow! This is his way of telling us he is hungry and wants snacks (usually cat kibbles). He wakes up at 3am, flaps his wings (and accidentally knocks his girls off the perch) and crows 3 times. . Same again at 5am and 7am. We also get a 10am matinee. Yes, you're voicebox works Wooly! We still luv ya though

01.01.2022 Chick sales tomorrow. 9am to 12pm. Free Easter eggs for the kids

01.01.2022 Our egg wagon and sale of eggs and produce works on an honesty system, this way we can keep the price of our product as low as possible. It is disappointing when we find the fridge has been cleared out and the cash tin does not reflect what has been taken. We understand that due to no fault of their own, and especially this time of year some families are struggling and doing it tough. The past year has been a challenge for everyone and as a small business we have faced some ...hurdles also. We don't want to judge anyone and if you are short of cash, we don't want to turn you away. Pay what you can or come and speak to us. Don't take advantage of our generosity and ruin it for others. We've gone through hard times the past year just as much as anyone else and will help those struggling where we can. Merry Christmas From V, Justin and the kids Xx
