19.01.2022 2 runners today in Townsville, unfortunately in the same race. Paniagua and Regal Heart will contest the 3y.o handicap over 1400m. It's a tough assignment but both are last start winners and deserve the opportunity to take on the best 3y.o's in North Queensland. 18.01.2022 It's cup day!!! Greycliffe will look to continue his improvement on his path to the country cups in the next couple of months and today we've ticked the boxes with the right hoop, a decent barrier and a track and distance he enjoys. I expect a bold performance and think will receive a cheque at the end of the day. ... "Paniagua" goes to the big dance as favourite! I have to pinch myself, we've got the favourite in the cup... that's a big deal It's a step up in distance and definitely class but he keeps taking the next step and I'm confident he'll get the trip and I know he's got the class. All we'll need is a little bit of luck in the run and he'll be there when the whips are cracking. Good luck for everyone racing today, I'm sure it will be something special. Cheers Axe and Kel

16.01.2022 Stable new boy "Greycliffe" is starting to come to hand. At this stage he's likely to start in cairns over 1500m in July. I'm really looking forward to seeing this guy perform.

06.01.2022 Paniagua and Ruler will make the long journey to Mackay starting today, we'll camp a night with stable friend Bonnie Thompson in Townsville and then start the assault on Mackay Friday morning. Paniagua will look to make it 4 on the bounce when he takes on some quality company in the Mackay Guinees, although it's a step up in grade I'm confident of a bold performance. Ruler is undoubtedly a very talented galloper and has showed us that at times with some brilliant runs, it's ...his consistency that has let him down a little so we've changed a couple of things in his training in an effort to keep him fresh and happy. I hope this translates into more consistent form, the proof will be in the pudding... so to speak. Good luck to all the connections and if you're having a punt they will both good Each way chances. 02.01.2022 Today we head to Townsville with a 2 pronged attack. The champ "Paniagua" will kick things off for the team in the Townsville Guineas. He's looking for 5 on the bounce and after his impressive win in the Mackay Guineas he'll be very hard to beat. Greycliffe will look to continue his improvement and now getting out to the 2000m he's ticking some boxes. He's drawn an awkward gate so jockey Scott Sheargold will look to push forward in the early stages and seek some cover.... Good luck to the connections and everyone having a punt today.
