22.01.2022 Mark 6:50 When our hearts are softened to Jesus' leading we have courage and are glad. But when our hearts are hardened we react in fear and our faith falters. When He has to constantly remind us to not be afraid of our surroundings or of His power and glory, it sets back our relationship and keeps us from fully joining in His work. ... God calls us to look at Him, instead. When we keep our eyes on Him and remember everything He has done for us, the fear goes away, and we can obey Him in confidence. So have courage, and don't be afraid.

21.01.2022 Congratulations to our newly ordained Deacons, William, Francis and Jack from Holy Spirit Seminary Queensland. Bishop Ken Howell shared how special it was for ...him to ordain to the ministry for the first time. Let’s continue to keep these young men in our prayers as they continue their formation process. We are also thinking of Ashwin today as he will be ordained to the Order of Deacons for the Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton. See more

27.12.2021 Philippians 1:6 This time of the year we remind ourselves that Jesus is near, that life can be different and that we can continue doing God's good work as we wait for Jesus. Everything of this month can remind us of God's gifts he has given us including His son Jesus. So continue doing His good work and waiting in joyful anticipation for Jesus' birth.

09.12.2021 And he said to them, 'Come follow me and I will make you fishers of people.' - Matthew 4:19 The good news of Christ is to be shared with all we meet. If we are to be fishers of men, we need to think in terms of growing the kingdom of God. Taking the love of Christ to others is what being a fisher of men is. God calls us wherever we are. We don't have to be socialites or wealthy, we just need to love Jesus and obey like Simon and Andrew did as they threw down their nets and followed Him.

07.12.2021 The four weeks of Advent are a slow wait: one candle this week, the empty crib. With Mary and Joseph, we wait for Christ. The candles light the way for them - and for us, one each week of Advent. The best waiting, like waiting for birth, is slow and long. But we wait in joy and hope for the baby. ... If we wait in faith and in hope, then everything, even the carols sung too early and the celebrations too early, can remind us of the God who is coming soon in Jesus Christ, to be born of Mary. Mary, may I wait with you in joy, patience and hope.

20.11.2021 Whoever trusts in the Lord is like Mount Zion: unshakeable, it stands forever. - Psalm 125:1 We can't properly put our trust in Him until we remove our trust in other things. He alone is our refuge and strength. Our place in His love, His new life, and His gracious purpose lasts forever and cannot be moved.
