23.01.2022 The Ladies Friday Pennant hosted Pt MacDonnell today. Great weather, good company, and just to show how gracious we are in Kingston, we let the opposition win. Pt MacDonnell 47 shots - 12 points, Kingston 42 shots - 2 points. Congratulations Pt Mac!

22.01.2022 A nice arrangement by our 'in house' florist and it takes three ladies to whip a bowl of cream.

22.01.2022 Unfortunately, due to Covid outbreak in city, all bowls off statewide until further notice. Stay safe, do the right things and we'll see you back on the green soon.

21.01.2022 Championship pairs were played at the KBC today. We witnessed some great games throughout the day. The women's final was played between Ann Ratsch, Heidi Gribble and Deb Ogilvie, Urai Jacobs. It was too close to call right to the last end. Final score team Ann 16 and team Deb 15 shots. Congratulations to both teams for such an entertaining game. The men's final will be next Friday.

20.01.2022 Bordertown Bowling Club hosted a Triples 2 day event yesterday and today. Jack Vawser, Rod Willmott and Bill Armfield came in second at the end of the competition winning 5 out of their 6 games. Despite the fatigue at the end of today's session, they were quite pleased with themselves, and so they should be. Good bowling guys. Congratulations Kingston!

19.01.2022 Our club hosted the Milton Schaefer Memorial Trust Men's Fours yesterday. Good weather set up the day for some very close games for the 18 participating teams. Prior to the start of the day, one team was asked, "what is going to be your winning formula today"? Joe responded, " the bar". Would you believe they did win! Congratulations Naracoorte RSL. A couple of action photo's.

19.01.2022 Championship 4's today Congratulations Garry, Andrew, Jeff and Ron on your win of a very tight game. Well done Brett, Colin, Ron and Brentyn for giving your opponents a run for their money.

16.01.2022 Rod, Jeff, Darryl and Bill attended a two day bowling event at Pt MacDonnell on Monday and Tuesday. They did it in style by staying in the town for three nights. The bowling - well let's just say they enjoyed each others company, hospitality, and the socializing. Deb, Diane, Steph and Pam travelled to Penola on Tuesday for a Tournament. They also enjoyed each others company, hospitality and socializing as well. Let's not even mention the bowling!!!! Anyway it was too hot so that is why the bowls wouldn't behave themselves.

14.01.2022 Open Pennant today. Division 2 were hosted by Mt Gambier Blue. A bit of a tough hill climb for our side. Mt Gambier Blue 82 shots - Kingston 57 shots Kingston hosted Penola. 13.01.2022 Our girls fought back at the Champion of Champion 4's, in the 2nd round, but were just beaten by Mt Gambier RSL, 11-9. Well done ladies

12.01.2022 The Men's Techwool Fours has just started. Sunshine and a cool breeze. Perfect conditions. Our thoughts are with our friends in Lucindale who had a harrowing day and night yesterday with the fires.

09.01.2022 A brilliant day for 24 bowlers competing in the Mixed Pairs Championship yesterday. The event was a knock out, so at the end of the day, 4 couples competed to play in the final. The game was very close for 2 couples, so much so it necessitated a toss of the coin to play an extra end. The losers went down by one shot. The final will be between Jack and Helen Vawser, versus Michael Rivitt and Urai Jacobs. Great draw bowling was witnessed throughout the day. Congratulations to a...ll who participated. A date is yet to be set for the final. See more

09.01.2022 Wonderful day on the green this afternoon. Fourteen bowlers enjoyed two games of 12 and 10 ends. Only one team were fortunate to win their two games. 07.01.2022 Three Kingston teams enjoyed the Cosmopolitan 4's at Robe yesterday. Despite a couple of showers of rain, it didn't deter the visitors from enjoying a day on the green. One of the Kingston teams didn't come home empty handed. Team Jack Vawser, Helen Vawser, Rod Willmott and Janet Lawrie were declared the runners up. They were just pipped at the post by Mt Gambier RSL by half a point. Congratulations!

06.01.2022 The Ladies Friday Pennant Side were hosted by Penola yesterday. The hospitality was great, but the weather was mean, so much so, we lost our way on the green and couldn't dig our way out. The Penola ladies had the winning formula there is no doubt about it. Great bowling Penola. To recover from a day to forget, one team did a bit of retail therapy in the village before heading home. Christmas is sorted!
