25.12.2021 SPORTS DAY // The Reception-Year 2 students at our Wynn Vale Campus recently participated in our School's annual Sports Day! It was a fun-filled day which provided the Early Years students the opportunity to participate in events in an environment which focused on demonstrating all of our School's FISHER principles: Fairness, Integrity, Service, Humility, Excellence and Respect. 26.11.2021 OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD // For over 22 years, our King's Community has supported Operation Christmas Child. OCC is a hands-on way for our School to bless children in need across the world by filling shoeboxes with good quality toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and fun gifts. This year, King's collected 685 Operation Christmas Child boxes, to be sent to underprivileged communities in Cambodia. It is always a delight to watch many young hands carry their packed boxes to school on the collection day and we look forward to bringing this project to our Adelaide Hills Campus. On International Mud Day, students from our sister school's ELC engaged in various experiences including mud painting, mudslinging, mud kitchen play, mud pit stomping and mud sliding. 03.08.2021 The children in our Wynn Vale ELC have been exploring bubbles in recent weeks. We followed a recipe to make ‘bubble juice’ together and have been experimenting with using different items to create bubbles. Through this play and exploration, the children have been deepening their understanding of scientific concepts - including cause and effect, states of matter (what happens to the liquid when we blow it into a bubble?) and forces (how hard or soft do we have to blow to creat...e a bubble?). We also added dye to the bubble juice and created collaborative art together.
