Ward boundaries have changed significantly, but Elgar Park is st...ill in what will continue to be the Elgar Ward. For those club members who live in the Elgar Ward, I ask that you support the re-election of Blair Barker. Blair has been an amazing and tireless representative for residents in the area. He has kept residents up-to-date on Council activities, sought views on important issues, and advocated to improve local sports facilities and environment. FYI he voted against the 2% rate rise. 16.01.2022 Message from the president Stuart Richardson Thankfully all restrictions related to COVID 19 are lifting in metropolitan Melbourne, and we will all be able to get back to playing at Elgar park very soon. We will need to be vigilant and follow COVID 19 protocols for the foreseeable future. Our Return to Play Guidelines, have been updated and need to be approved by the council before we can play in groups. We will be releasing a more detailed update on access to the pitch and future playing/training opportunities later this coming week. Structured competitions run by HV and the Club run will be announced in the next few weeks and will take place from January 2021. If you have any specific questions please reach out to your section VP, Campbell, Bill, Issy and Thili.

01.01.2022 HV are currently undergoing to process to appoint Zone Coordinators for the 2021 Junior State Championships. Sally Darmody and Daniel Robertson who shared the role for the North East Red Devils in 2020 have informed us that they will not be in a position to be involved again in 2021. HV would likely sincerely thank both Daniel and Sally for stepping up to fill the role in 2020 and while we did not get to deliver a JSC, their contribution was certainly appreciated. HV are no...w seeking a new Zone Coordinator for the North East Red Devils for 2021. There is a document attached that provides an overview of what the role entails and the responsibilities. We are open to appointing either one or two people to fulfill the role and are fortunate that Sally and Daniel are willing to assist with a handover to the new Zone Coordinator(s). As clubs that sit within the North East Red Devils Zone, we are seeking your support in identifying a suitable candidate(s) to fill this role. Should you know of anyone at your club that you believe would be fantastic in the role, we would greatly appreciate you passing on the attached document and encouraging them to get in contact with myself via email ([email protected]). From there, I can arrange to chat to them further about the role. We would greatly appreciate your support in finding a new Zone Coordinator, as it is incredibly important we have someone in place heading into next year to ensure that the North East Red Devils are ready for the 2021 Junior State Championships.
