19.01.2022 A little twist on my standard Word of the day: COVID VOCAB! Plenty of new words have been popping up since the coronavirus pandemic began. Heres one that was recently added to the OED:... 17.01.2022 I tend to do a lot of my client liaison on the phone or via email (always an introverts preference)But for those occasions when face to face is required, I always have the same dilemma: Where do I hold a client meeting? a) At my house? (Is that professional?) b) In a cafe? (Too noisy?) c) At their office? (Good if they have one) d) Other? What do other #homeworkers do? Id love to know. 17.01.2022 Haha, no one likes a #grammarnazi, but what if its your job?! Ive recently invested in @grammarly to give my writing and editing an extra going over. Always pays to have a second pair of (virtual) eyes to ensure its for clients.

17.01.2022 Always nice to get good client feedback. This was for a full website rewrite Ive been working on recently

15.01.2022 Be brave - in life, work, and your web copy So often I see clients who are afraid to step outside the copywriting box. They look at what other people are doing on their websites and follow suit. But Ill tell you a secret: Everyone else is not necessarily writing words that work, or that are based on research and best practice.... If youre willing to step outside the box, to break the old school web copy template, write for humans, and consider the user experience, you might just see better results. #bebrave #webcopywriting #webwriting #webcopywriting #digitalmarketing #copywriting #contentwriting #copywriter #contentwriter #smallbusiness #newcastlensw #kbcopywriting

14.01.2022 Support a great cause at a time of increased need by joining Sleepout for Soul at Home or by making a donation: https://www.facebook.com/events/600538397474546 Soul Cafe provides hundreds of free meals per week to highly disadvantaged members of our community, many of whom are homeless, have a mental illness, suffer from a substance abuse issue or live in poverty.

11.01.2022 Such crazy, worrying times were living in - especially for business owners. If demand for your products or services is dropping at the moment, you might like to think about using this extra time to work on your business. Heres my first suggestion its copy related of course! Im still working and here to help if you need any assistance or advice. ... #1 Do a quick web content review Is your primary marketing message clearly stated? Your visitors should understand what your business does and how you can help them as soon as they land on your homepage. Is your messaging customer-focused? Customer-focused copy talks about the benefits your business, products and services deliver; it doesnt just describe features. It also uses more you and less we. Does your website reflect any changes in your business? Have you recently added new products or services? Are your staff profiles up to date? Are your contact details still correct? Does your content contain any errors or inaccuracies? Typos, poor spelling and grammar and false claims can reflect poorly on your business, so go through your copy and clean it up. Does the tone of your copy reflect your brand? Professional doesnt have to mean formal. If your business is friendly and approachable, be conversational in your copy. If its fun and edgy, add humour. #webcontentreview #copytips #copywritingtips #webtips #digitalmarketing #copywriting #contentwriting #smallbusiness #smallbusinessowner #copywriter #contentwriter #kbcopywriting #newcastlensw

10.01.2022 Great copy is all about evoking a feeling. When you tap into the emotions you have more power to influence decisions and actions #copywriting #copywritingtip

10.01.2022 Love this analogy! And its so true. Your copy isnt fit for your customers eyes until its been edited and refined. Sloppy copy just wont cut it and could end up embarrassing your business in the process #editor #kbcopywriting
