21.01.2022 Samford update..... The Kitchen is the of the home In the midst of our 6 buildings,our oversized kitchen and eating area is almost complete! ... This is where the children will gather for freshly cooked meals throughout the day. Check out this weeks menu, our menus are seasonal and on a four week rotation. The menus are constructed with input from Families, Chidlren, Educators and the community.

15.01.2022 Mud Play is important for children to develop and practice their fine and gross motor skills, increase awareness of their senses, particularly touch, improve hand/ eye coordination and develop their social and emotional skills, including taking turns and leading/following directions. Elimbah Capers Sugar gliders had an amazing time in their sandpit area making loads of mud pies, mud ponds with the help of their educator Miss Sharene providing the water. Our children love the freedom feeling of getting muddy. ‘ MUD, MARVELOUS, MUD’

09.01.2022 Remembrance Day is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth member states since the end of the First World War to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty. Our children at Elimbah took part in this important day by making beautiful poppies out of art and craft materials, learning about what ‘ Remembrance Day’ is all about by watching a clip explaining the meaning behind it all. As well as the centre took part in the minute silence to pay our respect. How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes, sheroes and animals

07.01.2022 Last week @ kids capers Elimbah our Kindy children go creative with coloured ice cube painting, through this activity the children were given the opportunity to explore colour mixing, patterns and feeling the texture of the slippery, cold, wet ice. The educators had discussions with the children about the science behind ice and the changes that happened and why. This activity was also great for the children to help develop their fine motor skills and control.

04.01.2022 National Recycling Week provides opportunities to improve our recycling knowledge, build better recycling habits and build trust in recycling. Elimbah Capers children from the Wombats and Goannas room explored recycled goods. The children used their imagination while investigating new ways of learning, creating masterpieces and even musical instruments. ‘Put waste in the right place’
