23.01.2022 At the end of last year we at KCES celebrated 10 years in business. Our pride and joy was greatly tempered by the loss around the same time of our dear friend and partner from Straub Werke AG in Switzerland, Mr Peter Mueller. He died much too young and although he obviously didnt visit us that often, we miss him terribly, as we know does the rest of the Straub family. His death is a terrible loss and we still think fondly and often of him, his widow and their cats. Here he is in Marysville during one of this visits to us here in Aus. RIP Peter.

12.01.2022 If youre new to pipe couplings but are into the nerdy stuff, check out this natty graphic of the Straub Metal-Grip, showing you how easy they are to install. See how there are only two bolts? Thats true of almost all versions - even the big ones. Compare THAT to the faffing about with 12 bolts or more on alternative products such as a flange. And no welding! (Ideal in this weather...) Pipe couplings are also a lot more forgiving in the installation thanks to their engineering tolerances, so are an easier solution for real life. Oh - and enjoy the soothing soundtrack... :)

Actually in the world of pipe couplings (as in so many other walks of life!) size doesnt matter. You get the same design advantages and mechanical principles operating even in the baby of the Straub family, despite its diminutive dimensions (21.3mm)
