23.01.2022 In Girl Guides Queensland’s centenary year, we are asking businesses to share our biscuits. Monies generated by contributions from Queensland businesses are vit...al. These contributions ensure we maintain, improve and deliver our successful program structure and continue to provide a safe environment where girls and young women are empowered, have a voice and can be the best they possibly can be. Biscuits purchased can also be donated. Please Share, Like and Comment to spread the word.

15.01.2022 GIRL GUIDES AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCEMENT RE: Girl Guide Biscuit Fundraising For more than 60 years Girl Guides around Australia have proudly sold Girl Guide Biscuits in our communities to our families, friends, supporters and businesses.... They are certainly an icon of Girl Guiding and a valuable symbol of our connection with the broader community. Next year we will be launching an exciting new range of biscuits that are free from artificial additives, preservatives and flavours and importantly are palm oil free. There will be a selection of three biscuits, an ANZAC, a triple chocolate and gluten free lemon, lime and coconut biscuit. Each biscuit will be 50g and individually wrapped. Biscuits will be packaged in display boxes ready for sale in local communities. All packaging will be labelled Girl Guides so the biscuits will continue to be a reminder of Girl Guiding. The cardboard packaging is recyclable and printed with plant-based inks and the biscuit wrappers are also recyclable. This range showcases our commitment to being responsible members of the community and our recognition that environmental sustainability is one of the most important issues currently facing the planet. To produce this new range has meant that we will not be offering the Trefoil biscuits in our 2020 campaign. While this may be disappointing for some members, the new range is aligned to our values and shows that we stand by what we say we believe in. Biscuit deliveries will commence in May 2020. We wish you and your families a wonderful Festive Season and look forward to an adventure filled 2020! Author: Trish Manten - CEO - Girl Guides Australia

03.01.2022 During Term 4 last year, and the start of Term 1 this year, 2 of our Koiranah Rangers collected bottle tops as part of their BP Awards to be donated to Envision Hands, where they are made into prosthetic limbs. Thank you to all Guides and their families, leaders, and other community members who donated lids to this cause. Over 5,000 lids were taken to our local collection point last week to be sent away for processing. BRAVO to these Rangers for organising this collection, to help others in our community!

02.01.2022 Help Girl Guides Queensland continue to deliver our programs, supporting our members to become strong and confident women! There are some great prizes to be won in this raffle!
