23.01.2022 DELILAH Delilah was found all alone in a paddock with horses before she came to us at Access wildlife. she loves a cuddle, sneaking onto the couch and pulling funny faces. Thank you to Narelle's animal rescue for saving her.

21.01.2022 Stanley came in as an older boy and settled well into our little mob. On Thursday morning he was found lying down , freezing cold and just hanging onto life. He was rushed to our amazing vet clinic and spent the day receiving fluids and love from the gorgeous staff whilst slowly being warmed up. We picked him up at 7.30pm where he sadly passed away on the 5 minute drive home. Unfortunately we still have unanswered questions as to what happened to our Stanley.... Both our precious boys have left a hole in our hearts but won't be forgotten

19.01.2022 A huge thank you to Tayla and Louise for your awesome donation of Wipes and Rolled Oats for our kids in care! Greatly appreciated

15.01.2022 We have had a very challenging few weeks with the loss of our 2 precious babies and the arrival of this beautiful boy Barry . 8kg Barry was found hanging in a fence with his frantic mum trying to help him . An awesome local rescuer managed to get him out but unfortunately he had a nasty leg wound that needed to be treated. His poor mum was beside herself when he was carried away from her. Barry arrived Friday morning and was immediately seen by the ever amazing team at Langw...arrin Veterinary Clinic, where Vet nurse Amanda and Vet Francine provided first class treatment with providing fluids, flushing out and dressing the wound, organising xrays to make sure Barry's legs were ok. They decided to leave his wound open and assess it on a daily basis. On Sunday the wound looked ok but we were worried it could turn nasty so we arranged for Barry to have a small surgery on Monday where Vet Dr Barry( namesake) cleaned, debrided, administered antibiotics and closed up the wound. That was 9 days ago and the wound now looks amazing although he is not out of the woods yet. Barry although a wild boy , is very gentle and is now up and about inside with his much smaller cousins until his wound heals then we will attempt to reunite him with his mum in a few weeks. Welcome little big man We are hoping to raise enough funds to build a separate ICU enclosure to enable us to take bigger kids like Barry without the need to have them inside with the little ones for their safety & ours. If you would like to contribute, our bank details are in the photos or via Paypal.me/kcpws Any donation gratefully accepted

12.01.2022 To all our followers, sorry we have been so quiet on our page, it has been a challenging couple of weeks at the shelter with the loss of two of our precious roos Our beautiful brave boy Barney (Buck) was heartbreakingly given his wings after struggling to overcome an injury. This was not a decision we made lightly, after 7 visits to vets and specialists all over the state the decision was made to let him go. Barney was not coping being pouch bound and was deteriorating. He is now with his mum.

02.01.2022 These 2 little native ducklings where found separately all alone in the big wide world. Without their mums around to look after them they would not have survived. Thank you to the lovely people who came to their rescue and whisked them off to the vet so the could be brought into care. Here we have Jethro & Chucky who are now best friends. Please slow down for all wildlife including ducks!!!
