13.01.2022 PARENTS this ones for you! Have you ever had to deal with your child being bullied, and if so, how did you deal with it? ... KCUB’D was built off of a few elements, and one of those unfortunately included Bullying ... So for starters KCUB’D is short for Kaeas Kulture Klothing (in case you didn’t already know) - why? Kaea (daughter) had started experienced school bullying at the age of 8. Unfortunately for our family this was not our first rodeo, being a mama to 4 girls, Im sure you can imagine. So, How did we deal with it? Well this become challenging. Initially we had reached out to school, to roll out an anti bullying campaign, which I had offered to fully take on, coordinate, train and present to students. This concept had fallen on deaf ears (school) and did not go ahead. So in the end we decided to move Kaea to a new school. However whilst we don’t believe in running, we knew we had to continue uplifting and encouraging self-belief, without hindering Kaea’s confidence. This is where KCUB’D come about - building a brand to convey the voice of courage and culture. Teaching our children to be proud of who they are, face adversity in the face, and conquer your dreams. KCUB’D isn’t just a sock brand, its a voice for our kids!
