25.01.2022 The best way to spend the school holidays is riding in the rain

24.01.2022 I find it so important to own a box full of goodies to make quick and simple changes to my saddle fit..another reason why I love and recommend Bates & Wintec saddles. Yesterday all the horses in training had saddle fits, 3mths since their last and all needed changes made from growth and muscle development from their work under saddle. Great News! Today one of these horses felt very different in their work compared to our ride yesterday and they were not feeling comfortable with the changes made. One quick message to the fitter, a simple change and we are back on track! Always listen to your horse, be open and honest with the team your working with and it really is ok to say, "It's not working, we need to re visit our options".

24.01.2022 I have been trying to avoid this for as long as I could but unfortunately I have had to make a small price increase to all lessons by $5. Insurance across the board for Equestrian has increased with many companies pulling out all together, which means insurance cost for the next 12mths has more than doubled from the past 2years. This however will not decrease my coaching commitmemt and dedication to you!!

16.01.2022 What motivates you to improve and compete? Its not always perfect in my world and training can be repetitious, tiring, far from good enough and I often feel the pressure that it always has to be the best, every day!! And that, is not reality!! But some days a moment comes along, the light bulb switches on, (sometimes off) you get a feeling, a memory and it changes something from within. Last week, the pressure I put on myself and trying too hard for too long rather than "just doing" lead me to a Thursday night meltdown crying myself to sleep. Yes, yes yes...and it was the best thing ever!! I gave myself a kick up the butt, sorted out my crap and this pushed me "TO DO" to be motivated again and to focus on what needed to be focused on, myself, my horse and my work. Its been a long time since I have felt, so good riding!!

10.01.2022 I love working with the little ones especially the ones I had the pleasure of knowing since birth. Little Queenie is 3months old and I have the joy of seeing her each week for handling and light ground work sessions. Today she was an A+ student and I enjoy nothing more than allowing her a mutual grooming session at the end of the work. Such a great way to release happy and relaxed endorphins for their little minds and bodies. I never allow the foals to groom me back, instead I channel that loving back to their mothers.

07.01.2022 Biggest Congratulations to the Lancaster Dressage Team for such a successful weekend at the WA State Dressage Championships. Our first PSG didn't pull off exactly how planned, with poor SM being very nervous of the dead quiet Indoor Arena, but some nice work shown for a 6th placing. However, the warm up, EXCEPTIONAL and I am far from dissapointed!! Knowing what we have together, I am only looking forward to what will be a great 12mths at this level.
