24.01.2022 Canteen Manager Vacancy Kalamunda & Districts Junior Football Club (KDJFC) KDJFC is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, innovative and dedicated Canteen Manager to lead the club’s canteen operations for the football season (runs 1st April to 31st August, with possible extension for a few weeks based on finals games etc as arranged with the Executive Committee). We would also be willing to look at a Job Share arrangement for the role for the right candidates.... This position is responsible for the profitable management and operation of the club’s canteen at Kostera Oval, Kalamunda WA. The incumbent will support the development of strong relationships in the community in particular with players, parents, spectators, club officials and volunteers. The KDJFC canteen is "volunteer based, however the role of the Canteen Manager is a paid position. This opportunity is open to each and every parent, player or family and provides you with the platform to become an integral part of the KDJFC community, whilst raising funds for our club. Key Responsibilities and essential skills: * Ensure that the club’s canteen at Kostera Oval operates effectively and profitably on Match Days. * Provide leadership to club volunteers to ensure the delivery of an affordable, quality food service to players, parents, spectators and Match officials; * Planning, organising, and monitoring the operations of the canteen, including the rostering of volunteers from the club’s registered teams, record-keeping (as agreed with the club’s Treasurer), opening and closing the canteen, preparation and cooking for service and ensuring all volunteers sign in and out; * Developing the necessary procedures to deliver the food service; * Ordering, purchasing and checking all supplies against invoices and delivery dockets. * Processing payment of suppliers by the club’s Treasurer of amounts due, so electronic transfer can be processed, where possible. * Use food preparation and cooking skills to minimise waste of fresh produce; * Orientating and training volunteers in the food preparation and other procedures to deliver an affordable, quality food service * Passionate and dedicated to promoting the club to the wider community. * Experience in food preparation, food handling procedures, food ordering and stocktake procedures. * Experience in financial reporting of canteen profits. 21.01.2022 AUSKICK Last Saturday saw our littlest Tigers play a few mini round robin games against Forrestdale Falcons and High Wycombe. It was a great to see all the kids out there having a great time and showing such good sportsmanship to all their fellow team mates and visitors. It was a great experience for our Tigers and fantastic to see their progress over the last few months. 11.01.2022 AUSKICK FAMILIES Saturday 5th September - Round Robin Club Friendly We have lined up some other local clubs to come and have a few games with us. This will be an afternoon session and will replace the morning Auskick session. Time 3.30pm for a 4.00pm start. This will be a fun, friendly, event.... Each age group will require parent helpers to be goal umpires, coaches (if required), field umpires and general child wranglers! There are usually several teams in each age group and our coaches can not cover all of the teams. Please let the coaches know if you can assist on the day. The kids will need to wear their club footy jumper, black shorts (preferred) and their club footy socks. The canteen will be open. 10.01.2022 This Saturday our KDJFC Youth female team will be playing and intra-club match following the Swans WAFLW game at approximately 1pm. 9am Rogers Cup v East Perth 11am WAFLW League v Claremont 1pm KDJFC girls intraclub game... There is a $5 adult entry fee up to half time of the WAFLW game (around 12pm), then it’s free entry. WAFLW players will be handing out free footies at the start of their game, so if you arrive early you could pick up a free footy! There will be bouncy castles for the young kids. For the players involved in the intra-club game, complimentary sausage sizzle and drink for each player will be available from the canteen after the game. 04.01.2022 Swan Districts invites all junior footballers to join our WAFL Womens home game day on Sunday 9th August v East Fremantle. The day will include youth and junior girls games with teams from High Wycombe, Upper Swan, Hills Rangers and Ellenbrook JFCs. ... There will also be lots of free games and competitions on the day including free activities in the Swans Play Zone starting at 12pm. This season the Swans Play Zone will include laser tag, velcro fly wall, spider mountain, two bungee tramps, climbing wall, bouncy castle and face painting (subject to weather). Theres also chances to win prizes in a longest kick competition at quarter time of the League game, Bin It to Win It at half time (so bring your footy to join in), and Chase the Swan for the little kids at three quarter time. The Swans WAFLW League players will also be giving away 25 free Swans footies as the run on to the ground to start the game. All junior football players will also receive a free sausage sizzle and soft drink (refer to the coupon on the attached flyer).
