16.01.2022 Many thanks to those who have purchased rams from K D Sheepstuds recently. We are getting some encouraging feedback on how our rams and ewes are performing. We have a Livestock Transport company that is delivering rams, starting from Bordertown on Wed 21st Oct to Melbourne, Albury, Dubbo and to Toowoomba. 16.01.2022 Photo of K.D. Sheeptuds Aussie White and composite rams, fully shed at 26th August and their mates are well on the way to fully shed.Open day this Friday 28th and sale day for 50 rams and 50 commercial shedding ewes is October 8th.

12.01.2022 Very high lamb survivability in cold wet winters when these 1 hour old Aussie White Composite lambs are born with a thick hair coat like they have .....haven’t lost a lamb from about 150 born over the last week

09.01.2022 KD Sheep have Charollais and Charollais Composites available at K.D. Ram sale on 14th Sept 2020. Our Dohne x Merino rams are also looking great .We have used some sires from Triggervale stud to add new gentics of a non mulesing similar sheep type. I just had a phone call from a Dohne client saying he marked 147% lambs from his Merino ewes using KD Dohne rams. More to come...

07.01.2022 Client Testimonial: Gavin and Ali Thorne Managers at Eagle Park, Bangham SA At Eagle Park we have been using Dohne and Charollais rams from K.D. sheep studs for 4 years. We have noticed a huge improvement across all lambing ewes but in our maiden ewes especially with successful lambing with out human intervention compared to other crossbred breeds. Both of the above breeds we’ve noticed have lighter birth weights but lambs hit the ground and achieve quick, solid growth rates. We have just weaned 130% lambs from the Dohnes and 132% from ewes mated to Charollais rams, prior to using KD rams we were struggling to achieve 100% at weaning. Our 2019 born ewes are lambing now. We can’t speak highly enough of the breeding and professionalism and support from Kym and his team.

Ave 17.2, SD avg 3.3 and Comfort Factor avg 99.4 > 50mm-70mm staple length at 5 months If you are wanting advanced meat sires with respectable wool quality in amongst your ewes (not just Merino) then come to our Sale Day on Monday 14th September on farm at 455 Siding Rd Bordertown, inspection from 1pm.
