14.01.2022 #CanonChallenge PLANNING THE PERFECT SHOT Thanks to community member, Jason Ahyong, your Canon Challenge brief this week is: "Share an image you planned ahead f...or. It could have turned out better, unexpectedly, or exactly as you imagined it. Also briefly describe the effort you went to/resources used to plan the shot. I like to try to shoot full moon each month with a foreground and plan accordingly. For this shot I used apps like PhotoPills/The Photographers Ephemeris to work out moonrise time and direction relative to the Opera House. The weather forecast was for relatively clear skies. It was also at the time of the NSW bushfires so there was a fair chance the smoke haze would result in a glowing orange moon. The red lighting inside the Opera House was an unexpected bonus."
