25.01.2022 Great performing as cute flower holders or fill them with your drink of choice - whatever takes you to your happy place on days like these! At least craft and nature remain steady constants. These handcrafted cow horn mugs represent contemporary global style uniquely created with ancient materials. With a history dating back more than 6,000 years, rock paintings depict the Ankole-Watusi cattle across the Sahara and in Egyptian tomb art. Nowadays waste discarded horn is up cy...cled into elegant one-of-a-kind Ankole horn vases, trays and tumblers. Nurtured by nature, ethically handmade by Ugandan artisans. Each piece holds the story and personality of the cow that created it and the artisan that crafted it. Unique products available online through www.keapsake.com Your purchase of these products gives the artisans the opportunity to make a living while sharing this exceptional product with the rest of the world. #vikingstyle #celebratetherare #empower #ethicalproductsaustralia #makeastatement #purchasewithpurpose #thatsdarling #handmade #ecofriendly #fairtradeaustralia #socialenterprise #bethechange #makeadifference #homeswithsoul #ethicalhomewares #ethicalfashion #slowfashion #sustainablestyle #interiordecorator #modernnomads #globalhome #buylesschoosewell #artisanmade #globalchic #ecoluxury #upcycle #homedecor #organicinteriors #globalstyle

25.01.2022 A little golden sparkle on a grey and rainy day. Hand-block printed cushions made in Nepal with Christmas love.

24.01.2022 You got me. It’s true. I’m a sucker for blue. Showcasing our new, gloriously detailed brackets. All handmade ethically in Cambodia.

23.01.2022 Perfect slumber companions for our sleepy end of spring school holidays Sunday. Back to the grindstone for us all tomorrow...some of us looking forward to it more than others!

22.01.2022 Of the earth in the shape of the earth. Beads individually hand crafted from the most natural of materials - clay. It takes a sixteen stage process from the digging and production of the clay, to the rolling, shaping and hand painting of the beads to create this stunning necklace. All a labour of love handmade by our artisan partners in Cambodia. Inspired by their culture and history, including the great temples of Angkor, we find a way to connect with their lost past, and by doing so create a better future for them and their families.

20.01.2022 Keeping it cool (finally!) after a scorcher of a day @kirribillimarkets. A cold drink is most definitely what I need!!

17.01.2022 Sunshine on a rainy day... captured in nature’s produce in our Ankole cow horn fruit bowl...also made by nature and by hand #naturalproducts #mindfulliving

17.01.2022 As a British Kiwi living in Australia, working with women across multiple countries and from so many different cultures, I am continually humbled by the courage and resilience of women and girls, so often dealing with difficult and disadvantaged circumstances. . It is these women who hold their families together, earn an income as best they can, and in doing so create beneficial communities for all. ... . As such, I am powerfully reminded each time I see this how important gender equality is to building healthy communities and economies. . Just think. If the skills, ideas and perspectives of women could be used we really would be closer to realising the prospect of a more prosperous, peaceful and human centric future. . We all have a role to play in creating a world where we are all equal. It is not just a woman’s issue. It’s a world issue. A human rights issue. We cannot afford to leave half of humanity behind. . This International Woman’s Day recognise and celebrate all that we have achieved so far. However it is not just one day. I will continue to strive for, fight for all that has yet to be achieved. I hope that you will join me. #internationalwomansday #womansday #empoweringwomen #equality

17.01.2022 Just love the way the soft dusky light of sunset makes our onyx stone container and vase glow. Brings a smile to my face to see something so natural come to life in the light. Next time I’ll put it outside to capture the light even more when it’s doing its other job as a wine cooler #shopsmallbusiness #naturalproduct #ethicalhome #liveauthentic #fairtradebaby #shopfairtrade #buyhandmade

17.01.2022 It’s feeling a lot like Christmas - love, togetherness, friendship, kindness and hopefully some peace. For us Christmas is a feeling and it is these that we plan to forward with us into the New Year and beyond. I hope you will too xx. #lovechristmas #seasonofgoodwill

16.01.2022 Sunday morning and a magical fairytale like this view appeals rather more than the cold, foggy morning that I actually have

16.01.2022 They say no news is good news, and nowadays when at times it seems like a constant steam of bad news out there what to do? Well we love the solution our dear friends @quazidesign have found to take old news and make it new in the most beautifully creative way. This has to be the best way to present the news that I’ve seen yet! Recycled, resourceful and useful too. These gorgeous Newspaper Bowls are available now on our website www.keapsake.com. 12.01.2022 So much has changed in the world for so many in such a short space of time. While I have taken precautions for my family and immediate community it has been just as important to connect with every one of my artisan families to make sure that they have the information and support that they need to stay safe during this time. I know we all recognise our fortune of living in a country like Australia where social services and healthcare sys...tems are strong. For our artisans, and so many in the developing world, this sadly is not the case. Even while we deal with new uncertainties, fear and instability artisan communities in the developing world face these challenges on a daily basis. I founded KeapSake to not only create jobs and uplift fellow humans out of poverty, but also to bring beauty and joy to you and your homes through the unique, timeless products we make. My focus has been on my artisans immediate welfare and not their products for the last month. However, I also understand that the original goal of providing them with a sense of purpose through a sustainable income, in a safe place to work is even more important now than before. Today is also the start of Fashion Revolution week. Now in its seventh year, the challenge to combat fast fashion still remains a crucial issue, even more so while we are in the midst of a global pandemic. Who are you wearing today? #centralcoast #fashionrevolution #mindfulliving See more

12.01.2022 Things in life aren’t always simply black and white. Not even these made by nature, crafted by hand cow horn tumblers. Take the time to look beyond what may be obvious for the subtleties and the complexities that create character the beauty - in the tumblers and in all of us.

12.01.2022 Maybe the best place to be is the beach....!? It is the small things of good that we choose to do each day that make the world of difference. #LoveAnyway #unity #humanitarian

10.01.2022 Our days might be dreary, the weather and Covid restricting our fun, keeping us away from what we love dearly, but that doesn’t mean that we still shouldn’t start, to seek out those touches of specialness that add joy to our heart. Tonight we will make the most of the rainy grey night, with an early family supper, lit by candlelight. Warmed by food we love that gives us comfort and joy, which is good for the soul, and the heart...well... mostly

09.01.2022 One more day left of the long weekend! Where does time go?! I know I we supporting my handcrafted, ethically made Cambodian earrings while visiting friends in Sydney tomorrow. #lookgoodfeelgood

08.01.2022 Giving Tuesday is an international day of goodness created to inspire people to give back - a time for charity and kindness during a week of heady consumerism in the lead up to Christmas. Duly inspired, this month we are donating 100% of our profits to our monthly charity partners Preemptive Love and UNHCR who deserve our thanks, recognition and a super serious high five for the work they do supporting refugee families each and every day. #givingtuesday #bethechangeyouwishtosee

07.01.2022 Finding the joy in the simple thingssunshine, stillness a good book and a cooling drink in my favourite glass. One thing we all have as a gift at the moment is time & the ability to slow down without guilt. It is even more clear how our actions affect others. ... If we stay connected to ourselves, to our families and friends, and to the issues we care so deeply about can get through this and hopefully come out better on the other side. This is a perfect reminder of what's really important in life - each other. Mother nature is forcing us to rebalance. I plan to embrace it while we can. Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness. Desmond Tutu See more

07.01.2022 When each day just merges into the next it’s all too easy to let the time just pass us by and not recognise the things that can make each day special. . This year, despite the absence of family and friends, we decided to mark this years informal Christmas in July celebration. A small amount of effort, our favourite winter Christmas foods and a special table setting completed an evening, that hopefully, the kids will remember for sometime! @ Avoca Beach, New South Wales, Australia

07.01.2022 We support all handmade products. Those items made with talent, dedication, love and pride. Products which are fair trade include the additional element of providing a dignified income to improve the standard of living around the world. When this happens prosperous, better educated, and more stable societies are created. ... Now that really is a gift that gives back. See more

01.01.2022 Keeping things light by flying pretty kites. Kinda. Indoors....with beautiful pieces of brass and lapis jewellery handmade by our artisans in Kabul where kites are a passion and a symbol of freedom and fun. While kite flying might not be possible for most of us now, let’s not forget what’s beautiful in the world around us and the things that bring us joy. Whether it’s in the four walls surrounding us or within the world at large. Trying to stay positive and hold on tight to our sense of humour. @ Avoca Beach, New South Wales, Australia
