If you've ever purchased a new or used vehicle from a dealership there's a good chance you were given the impression all service and repairs must be carried out by the dealership or you will void your warranty. The good news is this is not true! Under the ACCC guidelines consumers have the right to choose their own repairer, as long as the work is carried out by a qualified person.
