25.01.2022 ***Update on COVID-19*** Here at Kedron Family Dental we have always taken infection control very seriously. That’s why since 2018 we have been an Accredited Dental Practice which means we have passed all the requirements for sterilisation and infection control protocols. Kedron Family Dental is committed to taking all precautions to ensure our staff and patients remain healthy when within our practice walls.... As per the Government’s advice, we are screening all patients to ensure recent overseas travellers are aware they are required to stay home for at least two weeks when they return. Our staff and dentists are on strict quarantine measures if they go overseas to affected areas too. Furthermore, unlike many other dental practices, we are currently well stocked for all items including face masks, gloves and other infection control products so we don’t have to compromise our patient’s safety or the safety of our own staff. In addition to our normal infection control protocols, we have temporarily removed toys and magazines from our reception area to further minimise the spread of infection through contact. There is also a patient hand sanitiser bottle at the front counter for our patients to use before and after their visit to Kedron Family Dental. We are also taking extra precautions by spraying, wiping and disinfecting all public areas more often throughout the day including our reception counter, waiting room chairs and the front door handles. 25.01.2022 COVID-19 Announcement: Starting from the 27th of March, we will be offering Dental Services to Toothaches and Emergencies Only! To all our valued patients, ... On the most recent advice from the Australian Dental Association regarding COVID-19, we have made the very tough decision to defer all routine procedures and dental treatment deemed not urgent or an emergency until further notice. We have restricted our services to acute emergencies only; this includes facial swelling, toothaches and dental trauma. Over the coming weeks, if you do have a dental emergency, we will have staff available to answer any phone calls from Monday to Saturday. Please call the practice on 3357 9600. This move has been made by our association to reduce community contact to help protect our patients, our staff and our families. The Kedron Family Dental Team are committed to helping to flatten the curve and keep everyone in the community safe. If you have an appointment in the coming weeks, we will be getting in touch to reschedule them or put you on a priority list for when our restrictions are lifted and we are able to treat non-emergency cases again. During the 3 day lock down we are allowed to treat you for emergencies ie. facial swelling, severe tooth ache leading to an extraction.
