23.01.2022 Today we met some beautiful people in our community. We shared our community garden produce and they shared their stories.We were also able to demonstrate the diversity of scouting and our place in the Kedron community. Our coriander is growing even through this heat - you love it or you hate it... and the radishes are hot hot hot !!! Feel free to drop by and pick herbs. Just pull out some pins around net-then replace to keep out our possums.
23.01.2022 Today Maeve was presented with her BP Award at the Kedron Scout den. We are proud of our little Joey Scout who has risen to Kythira Scout Leader and now has achieved the highest Rover Scouts Award. Our group is very proud of you Maeve.

18.01.2022 Message from our Erica who has been taking care of Kedron Scouts' Community Garden: Community Garden is open today. Theres plenty to harvest so come on down and pick some. Theres some tomato seedlings that have sprouted from last seasons fallen fruit. I dont know what type they are but they will grow very tall and they taste delicious. I will pot them up for people to try and grow at home. Should be ready by lunchtime. The garden just keeps on giving.... Were located on the biketrack near Tenth Avenue. Please follow picking directions and replace garden mat hooks to keep out our wildlife. Paper bags are available along with scissors. Drop in and say Hi when we are there.

QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing GET STARTED VOUCHERS OPEN WEDNESDAY 17 JULY 2019 www.qld.gov.au/recre/sports/funding/getinthegame/getstarted... Round 14 of the Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing, Get Started Voucher program will be opening on Wednesday 17 July 2019. The Get Started Program assists children and young people who can least afford or may otherwise benefit from joining a sport or recreation club by providing a voucher of $150 to help pay for membership and/or registration fees. Vouchers are issued on a first come first served basis so please encourage families to apply early. Eligible young people can apply for one voucher per calendar year therefore recipients of a voucher in Round 13 (January 2019) will not be eligible to apply for a voucher in Round 14. Get Started Vouchers Guidance for Scout Groups Online application process: https://www.qld.gov.au//fund/getinthegame/getstarted/apply Who can apply? Children and young people from the age of 5 to 17 (inclusive) who are residents of Queensland and: hold or whose parent, carer or guardian hold a Centrelink Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card with the childs name on it.
