25.01.2022 We hope all our followers are enjoying a well deserved break over this holiday period. In line with new Government directions, you will notice a few changes in the restaurant on our return in 2021. The sign on sheet will no longer be supplied and we will move to wholly digital sign in and out process. Please ensure your mobile phone has QR code reading capability or please ask your dining companion to assist where necessary. The sign in QR codes are located at the front door,... the sign in table inside and your individual tables when allocated by a staff member. Sign out QR codes can be found on the back of the front door as you exit and the counter as you pay. Thank you your understanding and in-going co-operation. See you in 2021!

24.01.2022 We at the Kee Kong are very thankful for all your continued personal messages of support. Before we make our announcement about our reopening and maybe another surprise, we thought it would be fun to reminisce about the 40 years we have been in business by starting a post for everyone to share their memories of our restaurant. We have had the pleasure of hosting many birthdays, anniversaries, graduation celebrations, Chinese New Years etc. we’ll start with a Chinese New Year ...picture from the 90’s. 23.01.2022 - General Announcement - The Kee Kong will be closed between Sunday January 26th to Monday January 27th. We will be back refreshed and ready from lunch service on Tuesday January 28th.... We look forward to seeing you all again after the long weekend.

21.01.2022 ***Reopening Announcement*** We have missed you all and the retirement is off! The Management of the Kee Kong Restaurant have advised that we will be scheduled to reopen in line with Stage 3 of the Queensland Government's Road Map. The Kee Kong Restaurant will operate under a COVID Safe Plan and changes to the operation will apply in order to ensure the safety of customers and staff.... Some of the changes include: - Strict social distancing will be enforced - The maximum customer limits (that apply at the time of opening) will be enforced - Entry sign in sheet - Additional sanitisation of high use areas - Hand sanitiser stations The health and wellbeing of customers and staff is very important to us and we would ask that customers confirm the following points before entry into the restaurant: - You are not unwell, particularly if you have a fever or show signs of a respiratory infection - Are currently not in self-isolation - Have not returned from overseas travel in the last 14 days - Have not been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days Where you are unsure, please consider other customers and we would be glad to still provide you with the same quality and quantity of your favourite meal in a takeaway to enjoy in your own home. We encourage you to download the Australian Government's COVID Safe app and have bluetooth on whilst in the restaurant. Thank you for your patience as we have been adjusting our business with the ever changing business restrictions and we look forward to seeing you all again for some time to come. We strongly advise that you book in advance to avoid disappointment. 16.01.2022 Thanks to everyone for the overwhelming response since our re-opening and adapting to our changed trade. The management of the Kee Kong Chinese Restaurant would like to advise that beginning this weekend, we will no longer trade on Sunday in order to be able to prepare for the following week.

12.01.2022 ***Further Re-opening Update*** We are doing the best we can and might not be ready on Wednesday 29 July. In order to be able to offer a full menu to one and all, we should be ready by a Thursday July 30. We will still be commencing full trade again for lunch, dinner and takeaway.... We are back and take your bookings over the landline telephone. We look forward to seeing you all again on Thursday lunch!

06.01.2022 Are you and your team out watching the Cairns Taipans tonight? If you need help with dinner afterwards, the Kee Kong is open until 9:00PM. We are open from 5:00PM for our regular dinner and take away service.

From $11, you can be treated to a serve of entree, your favourite lunch special and a tea/coffee or Chinese tea to finish.... Lunch specials are available every weekdays only between 11:30AM and 2:00PM.
