25.01.2022 Great day out on the water today, weather really turned it on for us and so did the company! The fishing was on par with everything else today too. A hbag of healthy big Redfish,few small Morwong and Snapper to finish it off. Got a different type of fish today i haven't seen before down here and I misidentified it to start with and was really excited to see it come over the rail. After a search through my 'Grants Guide To Fishes' book, it was identified as a Western Fox Wrasse, not the Black Spot Pigfish I thought it was. Cheers for the day again Mikhail and guys, look forward to the live aboard that's in planning now.

22.01.2022 With recent news of the new Snapper ban coming into affect, don’t forget the other species available in the state. Plenty of Redfish, shark, Queen snapper, big squid, kingfish, Samson fish and tuna available on chater with us at KEEN AS FISH. Day trips and over night trips with Wedge island accommodation all on our door step. Jump on board Wingman a comfortable 15.5m that can take you further than most and a skipper that is always KEEN AS!

18.01.2022 Looking forward to next season out of Coffin bay and beyond. Here is a bit of a slide show of some of the fish landed last season. With numbers of good fish people fly over seas to catch why not save a bit of money and support a local business while still catching fish that will have you buckled for hours on end.

17.01.2022 Last year I reached out to help some of the struggling drought stricken farmers in the state. Was great feed back and didn’t take long for a few of the wives of the farmers to contact me and pass on a few numbers of some guys who have been struggling, not only on the farm but mentally as well. What made it possible was due to help from the local news station jumping on board and help spread the word. I spoke to Simon, who is one of the farmers that came out with me the oth...er day. Sadly there has still hasn’t been much, or any improvement in the condition of the country in the states far north but the positivity from some of the guys amazes me. Stay strong guys and hoping for the best in the short and long term future!

17.01.2022 With summer fast approaching now’s the time to start looking at booking in for a few fishing trips! With plenty offshore species on offer, like Bight Redfish, shark, morwong, tuna, Samson fish and kingfish. These are the types of trips you will be taking home a mixed bag of fish to fill the freezer, whilst taking pressure off some other threatened species that others may only be offering. With plenty of room for groups of 10 or more for day trips and 6 for over night trips, jump onboard Wingman and catch a SA trophy fish or just fill your freezer with some quality table fish. Get on board and have a day or a few days fishing with some mates!

14.01.2022 Quality spread there on the way out to the shelf. Plenty of other life out there that had us thinking there may be barrels out there. We spent most of our time deep dropping though. With the amount of life out there it would be no surprise if there is a few kicking out there.

11.01.2022 KEEN AS FISH would like to welcome onboard David Clayfield for our new adventures happening over this season. Dave was the skipper of Why Not fishing charters for many years and has endless knowledge that will sure help us along the way of new journey we’re taking. I’ve known David for many years now and always loved his dedication to charter fishing here in SA and look forward to spending some time out with him onboard and learning more and more about this states great fishing to be had. 08.01.2022 Making the most of the other species available on offer here in SA by taking a group of the CELL Caravan promoters group out fishing from Pt Lincoln. Managed a nice feed of Redfish, Queen Snapper with a few other reef species chucked in the mix too. Was good to finally get out on the water and catch some fish, whilst having a laugh or two as well. Excuse the lack and quality of photos too, not sure what happened with them all, must be a it rusty in my old age! Few things are... changing here at KEEN AS FISH, offering more trips out of Pt Lincoln and Coffin bay this season, Fishing new areas such as the Cabbage Patch and beyond, out of Lincoln, targeting Kingfish and Samson fish on 2-4 day live aboards. Will be based out of Coffin Bay from February- April offering live aboards out to Greenly island and have a couple trips booked in to fish the far west coast such as places like Finders island and further. I'll be putting up some photos over the next few day of the fish on offer, on these trips, that will sure have you buckled and holding on. Cheers John
