Tiles are porous and love to keep damp. And it seems, from my experience basic cleaning, tilers aren’t quite getting the slope right with the central drain either, leaving small little puddles in the darndest areas of the shower recess . So many things to consider when talking bathrooms... but if anyone wants th...eir new-do bathroom and shower recess to stand the test against time, and look as new as the day installed, there’s 3 things to remember : 1. Ventilation 2. Lots of natural light 3. Daily cleaning ... yes, scrubbing, squidgee-ing, drying daily...or preferably after each shower Oh and don’t forget the soap dish! Letting those slippery little buggers hang from a fancy schmick stainless steel holder will leave a trail of soap-scum destruction. Lock the little buggers up in a soap container or sacrificed bowl/dish. Happy showering! See more
