23.01.2022 Just a few action shots from a 9-3 win against QLD City. The Mighty Midget is really starting to stand up and back her instinct, which is critical with a possible three games to come. QLD South West at 1pm is the last group game, a win will decide if they stay on top or drop to second for the final ladder position.
20.01.2022 WHAT A GAME! Down to the wire against NSW Central Coast, the Victoria Futsal U/13's girls made it a winning day with a 3-2 nail-biter. 2 wins from the two games has them undefeated for the tournament, after two draws on the first day, ending the day on 8 points & equal first. Two games tomorrow, with a possible top two finish there for the taking, it makes for an interesting run to the finals. Most importantly, Marlah has found both form and her confidence at the right time, ...with plenty upward curve to be found. Keep the grin kid, the results will come with it!
13.01.2022 Unfortunately, that's a wrap with Marlah being knocked out figuratively and literally in the semi finals. Hard fought game but Sydney played a physical brand of futsal and after Marlah getting knocked out, it was a battle back from there. Very proud of all the girls, with little preparation. Unlucky in the end, but that's a great learning experience.
12.01.2022 Final group standings after day 3 saw the Victoria Futsal U/13's girls finish on top. This sees them having a semi final against a Sydney team that they beat 6-1 in the preliminary rounds, whilst the ACT & Central Coast play again after playing out a draw in the final group game. Possibly the best scenario for the Vic girls, but still a game that they can't take lightly. So far, Marlah has been really impressive with her constant improvement in her communication, positioning... and 1vs1 play. It has been a real growth experience for her and one that if you could see her face, you'd know she has truly enjoyed. Semi is at 11am, hopefully from there a Grand Final berth can be booked for 2pm. Good luck Mush, super proud of you!
03.01.2022 Hard to believe this young pup is now a big Bunny, playing her third day at the AFA National Club Futsal Championships for Victoria Futsal U/13's girls. Undefeated thus far, the girls have the chance to secure a top two finish with two game against QLD City & QLD South West. Marlah has had to learn on the run and develop her trust in her own instincts, which has shown in a few big performances yesterday after a few glimpses on Saturday. This could be a major step towards her future goals but importantly, another personal growth and enjoyment experience. Stay tuned for the results, Go Vic Girls!
