23.01.2022 A had a very special project to do for a very special client in Victoria, Helen. This is her story! "Rob, my partner, and I are keen relic and gold hunters. We love finding coins and relics and researching the history of our finds. My coin was found at the original township of my home town. It was also the year of my dads birth. Dad and I were very close but unfortunately he passed away a few years ago. I still miss him every day. He was my best mate. So that’s the story of ...my coin. Rob’s coin is the year of his mum’s birth. His mum was diagnosed with cancer late last year and thankfully had her tumour removed and is cancer free. So his ring is a tribute to his mum. Robs mum is the backbone of the family. She would give you her last dollar and go without herself. She’s the most beautiful lady. The 50 cent coin is Rob’s Dads coin. No story behind it. He just liked it. However, the three middles together in a necklace are for his mum. This represents the three of us with Rob and his mums connection in the middle, myself and Robs dad on either side represents the family bond. Rob bought the crown because he loved the coin and I had the middle made into a necklace to symbolise that we are a part of each other and our love for each other. Our rings symbolise our commitment to each other and our shared loved of relics and their history." Thank you so much for the trust you gave me in making these for you Helen. It is a real honour!
20.01.2022 I had such an awesome day in my workshop, making a wide range of items for my clients around the world, all custom. Thank's so much everyone. I will post many of these individually as I can make more of some for others. Message me if you would like something made. Have a great week everyone.
19.01.2022 I was really pleased to get some repeat business from Bec, who in addition to her ring, I was commissioned to make a ring for her mum and her sister. Three beautiful ladies connected with Keepsake rings made from 19th century coins. Thanks Bec.
18.01.2022 A really special gift for Mark to give to his daughter. She loves mythology and Ancient Japanese culture, so best thing I could do is make her an antique Dragon Spoon Ring and use a very old Japanese coin in my collection, which I turned into a pendant for her. Thanks Mark. Very honoured mate.
16.01.2022 So much to post after a big weekend of creating, but I thought I'd start with something in between jobs (while making keepsakes for my awesome clients). I whale tail from an old 1904 sterling silver teaspoon head, left over from a ring. I have a few if anyone would like one custom made. DM me.
15.01.2022 I had a wonderful day off from my day job as a jeweller, doing what I really love, making something very special, rare, a keepsake for one of my clients. I have 7 more in the set before they’re gone if anyone wants one. Once they’re rings, there aren’t any more. DM me for details. Thanks Simon
15.01.2022 Had a fantastic Good Friday, with a productive day in my workshop making a heap of sterling silver rings from the bounty collected on my holiday up North. All will be posted onto my website for sale, as much as I want to keep them all. Message me if you want one made to size. All antique, rare, all sterling silver.
12.01.2022 Oh, I meant to also post, I had time to make a quick coin ring for Brad here on the Sunshine Coast today, who visited me before I went away. Got back last night, and today was a great day in my workshop. Glad you love it Brad. Thanks mate.
12.01.2022 Made a funky spoon ring today, a triple twist, which I just had to make. Still rare, around 1910, and it's is a little different to my other stuff. I've got a whole bunch of new items to add to my website (www.keepsakefoundry.com), this is the first of many to come. If anyone wants one made, just let me know your ring size and details. Thanks, Simon
11.01.2022 I made this pair of rings for Adrian in Victoria, a custom project, and alway a pleasure to make rings that connect my client to their heritage. A real honour!
11.01.2022 The first of many posts from the work I did last weekend, as orders build for this coming weekend (day job as a jeweller makes for a fun mix). I have a lot of stock to replicate this, if anyone wants one. Just private message me. Have a great week. Simon
11.01.2022 I love my Sundays. It's the day I bring joy to others. A big day, fingers are sore (other makers will understand), but worth the sweat and filed fingers. More to post. :-)
07.01.2022 Another awesome day taking care of my clients, the best part of the job is sending them photos of what I've made for them. Every item is unique, rare, antique with a new life. This spoon has been really popular, turned into a ring. If you want one before they're all gone, DM me or visit my website where you can purchase one (once the set is gone, they're gone). www.keepsakefoundry.com.au
07.01.2022 Final post for tonight, from the work I did last Sunday. I got a chance to make three rings for Jenny in Western Australia. She asked me to find three antique (rare) very old sterling silver spoons and make three rings for her daughters. She was as happy with the results as I was. Thanks Jenny!
05.01.2022 A busy day in the workshop the past few, with all this rain, it's perfect weather to make rings. Well, rain or shine, it's always perfect making rings for people. I'm super stoked to make these two rings today for Liz and her husband, matching 2018 pure silver 1 Ounce coin rings to celebrate the year they met. A great keepsake for them, and their kids one day. Thanks guys.
04.01.2022 Where do I start, when I have so many new items I want to share with everyone. I'm having the best long weekend ever! I'm like a kid in a lolly shop (candy for my OS clients). I'll just start posting them all, and you can all vote with your likes. They're all on my website, and more to come. DM me if you have any questions. This collection is 1904 English Her Majesty Royal Sterling Silver Spoons, becoming rings for clients. Stunning!
