22.01.2022 Dear EDNA Netball Community, Based on current advice from the Victorian/Federal Government, we will play netball this weekend. However, we have decided to defer Bushfire Recovery fundraising activities until later in the year. Volunteers and sponsors, your support is very much appreciated but will not be required this weekend. We hope to call on you in the future. Please note that there will be no food catering at our venue on Sat Mar 14th, however drinks will be available ...at our coffee vendor who has all of the necessary qualifications, training and equipment for safe beverage service. The Essendon District Netball Associations purpose is to provide opportunities to play netball. We will meet with all clubs next week to ensure we offer a netball season that we are all comfortable with and that compliments public health. In the meantime, please follow advice updates via Netball Victorias website https://vic.netball.com.au//netball-victoria-statement-cov which contains links to key health agencies and government departments. 21.01.2022 NETBALL SEASON POSTPONED In light of this afternoons announcement by the Prime Minister regarding the cancellation of non-essential mass gatherings (500+ people) across Australia, well move to postpone the commencement our EDNA Winter 2020 Season with immediate effect. The ultimate rationale for these measures is clear our communitys health is paramount- so there is no need for us to delay our decision in postponing our season until further notice. The EDNA Committee will meet next Weds night to assess the impact of this announcement and formulate our plans moving forward. In the meantime, we will continue to seek advice from government authorities and peak bodies to ensure our decisions are well informed. Well be communicating further information directly via our Teamapp and Facebook channels.

15.01.2022 Moonee Valley City Council is currently developing its 2021-25 Council Plan integrating the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan. The Council Plan is the strategic document that guides the Council’s actions over the next four years to bring our community’s vision, MV2040, to life. We understand the pandemic has challenged residents, families and communities in ways we could have never imagined, impacting our ability to connect socially, work, study, volunteer, run our b...usinesses and maintain our physical and mental health. In recovering from the pandemic, we have an opportunity to not just return to the way things were, but to build back a better and healthier city. Over the next three months we will be reaching out to residents to get an understanding of the impacts the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the community’s health and wellbeing. We want to learn about your experience during the pandemic to better plan for recovery, and to take meaningful steps towards achieving the community’s vision of a Healthy City. Make your voice heard, and complete the survey at www.yoursay.mvcc.vic.gov.au/councilplan
