23.01.2022 Club Delegates, The State Government has just announced that Stage 3 restrictions will be imposed for certain postcodes from this Thursday until at least 29 July 2020: https://www.premier.vic.gov.au/statement-from-the-premier-/. A significant number of clubs in the NSJTA are located within these postcodes. These restrictions will mean tennis clubs in these areas may need to close and players will not be allowed to leave home except for a limited number of reasons.... Given these developments, the Season 2 competition will not be able to start on 17/18 July as planned, and it wont be able to start before 29 July. We hope to be able to set a new commencement date once we have further details about when these restrictions might be lifted, but that may not be for several weeks. In the meantime, we request you still check the draft fixture, so we are as ready to start the season as we can be. We hope everyone stays safe, and we will provide further updates when possible. Regards, Robert

18.01.2022 Dear Keilor Park Tennis Club Community, Please read below the latest news from Tennis Victoria. Tennis Victoria Update re Victorian Government Roadmap... Dear Affiliates, Following State Governments announcement of the COVID-19 Recovery Roadmap, staff at Tennis Victoria have been in constant communication with Government to gain clarity on what the Roadmap means for tennis. We are now able to share the following updates: METRO MELBOURNE Stage 4 restrictions have been extended to 28 September 2020. Tennis activity is not permitted during this time. We are advocating hard for a return to play from 28 September, but do not yet have confirmation of this from Government. We will update you as soon as we know more. REGIONAL VICTORIA From midnight Monday 14 September, tennis can be played in groups of up to five participants from no more than two households. What does this mean for tennis? - Singles play with a member of your household or another household. - Doubles play with three other participants from your household or one other household. - Small group coaching with up to five members from two households We have asked Government for clarity on the total numbers allowed at tennis venues but are yet to receive confirmation. Therefore, for now, the cap of 10 patrons for tennis venues must remain in place. We will advise you of any changes to this as soon as we hear from Government.

17.01.2022 CANCELLATION OF AUTUMN 2020 SEASON AND SPRING 2020 DETAILS The NSNTA Management Committee has met to consider the results of the survey of clubs we conducted on... return to competition options. A summary of those results is on the NSNTA website. They show that 74 per cent of clubs, a clear majority, would prefer to cancel the Autumn 2020 season now and start planning for a new Spring season to start in August. There is still no clear advice from the State Government about when a return to competition tennis will be possible. However, given restrictions are gradually being eased, we are hopeful they will be eased enough to allow competition tennis by August. The Committee has therefore decided to cancel the Autumn 2020 season and start planning for the Spring season. The provisional start dates for Spring 2020 are: Ladies - Tuesday, 4 August 2020 Mixed - Wednesday, 12 August 2020 Mens - Thursday, 6 August 2020

16.01.2022 NSNTA UPDATE - 1 JULY 2020 Following the Victorian Government announcements on 30 June 2020, restrictions will be re-imposed on some suburbs within the north-we...st of Melbourne from 2 July 2020. Tennis Victoria has confirmed that clubs within these hot zones will need to close until at least 29 July. This includes a number of clubs that participate in the NSNTA. It is too early to know what Government restrictions will be in place after 29 July, and what impact those restrictions will have on the NSNTA competitions which are due to start in early August. The NSNTA Management Committee has therefore decided to continue planning for the Spring 2020 season in the hope that the season can commence in August. Clubs have been asked to submit their teams and the Committee will proceed with its usual grading process and preparing a fixture. This will ensure we are as ready as we can be to start the season once Government restrictions allow. There is a possibility we may need to adjust the arrangements for the season, including start dates, once we have a clearer idea of what Government restrictions will apply in August. We will update clubs and players when we know more. We hope everyone stays safe and thank you all for your understanding during this unprecedented and evolving situation.

05.01.2022 Hi Everyone, As you all know tennis is a great activity to play while social distancing as there is plenty of space on the court. We were hoping tennis was allo...wed back on monday, 1 on 1 but unfortunately it didn't go our way... There is a petition though and if you would take a minute to sign it and share it that would be amazing. The quicker we get back on the court the better for all of us... 04.01.2022 SPRING 2020 SEASON CANCELLED The State Government has extended Stage 4 restrictions for Melbourne until 28 September 2020, and released a road map for arrangements after that date. Under that road map it is likely that a 9.00 pm curfew and restrictions on community sport competition will remain in place until at least 26 October 2020. After that date, it is likely there will still be restrictions on public gatherings until late November. The NSNTA Management Committee has for...med the view there won’t be enough available weeks to hold a meaningful competition this year. We therefore regret to advise that we have decided to cancel the Spring 2020 season. We hope to be in a position to start a new season in February 2021. We will advise clubs of team entry closing dates in coming weeks, so clubs can commence their planning. We hope everyone is staying safe and hope to see everyone back on the court early next year!

03.01.2022 NSJTA Match Committee CANCELLATION OF SEASON 2, 2020 We regret to advise that we have decided to cancel the Season 2, 2020 competition.... The recently released State Government Coronavirus (COVID-19) roadmap to reopening indicates community sport is unlikely to be able to resume until 26 October 2020 at the earliest. Even if we are allowed to begin from that date, there are likely to be gathering limits and other requirements that would impact our competition. The Committees priority is the health and safety of our players, and we believe it is important to wait until we can ensure we have all necessary COVID-safe precautions in place before returning to competition tennis. We have therefore decided the most appropriate way forward is to cancel Season 2, 2020 and focus our attention on 2021. We will provide clubs with further details in coming weeks about team entry arrangements and timelines for next year. We hope everyone stays safe, and look forward to returning to the court in 2021.

02.01.2022 NSJTA UPDATE- 8 JULY 2020 The State Government has imposed Stage 3 restrictions for metropolitan Melbourne from 8 July 2020 for six weeks. Given this development, all arrangements for the Season 2 competition have been put on hold. ... We will make a decision about whether the season can proceed in a modified format once the Government provides further information about when and how these restrictions will be lifted. We hope everyone stays safe, and we will provide further updates when possible.

01.01.2022 The NSJTA Match Committee met tonight to consider the latest advice from government and health authorities and to determine the next steps for the NSJTA competition. In order to provide a small degree of certainty in these very uncertain times, based on the current available advice, we have decided to cancel all matches until the end of April. This means rounds 7, 8 and 9 will not be played. The Committee will meet again towards the end of April to consider whether it is saf...e and viable for the competition to resume. We appreciate the understanding of all clubs and players during this unprecedented and evolving situation. We will provide a further update towards the end of April.
