25.01.2022 Hi Gang. Have been developing a 3D NSWGR Buffer Stop, (in Black Rock Resin) over the last week or so. Originally It had small bolt heads as part of the print. But they appeared to be too small so I changed the idea to used separate simulated bolt heads with square washers, that are placed into the holes formed into the main print. The front plate is also a separate print, to save using any supports in the process. The Simulated Bolt Heads have lead me to believe that I can also do other simulated nuts and bolts in the same fashion as the ones printed here. The Buffer kits will be available on Keiran Ryan Models within the next week. Price to be determined, but they should not be very expensive to produce. Happy Modelling Keiran Ryan

21.01.2022 Just released a 3D printed NCE Hand controller bracket, to suit the Power and Pro CAB units. It cradles the head of the unit and does not interfere with any buttons. They are available for purchase for $15.00 + Postage. Discounts on 11 or more. Just PM me at any time with details. They will be on my web site at the end of the week.

21.01.2022 I am looking at doing a range of 3D printed windows and doors for NSW railway buildings. The idea is that if a modeller requires a specific window, and it is one that is popular and useful elsewhere, the modeller supplies the dimensions, KRM designs the part and prints a prototype. The modeller obtains the windows and/or doors (free of charge) that they require and they go into the KRM range of products as a sales items. This is just an idea at the moment, but I would love to have some feedback on the idea, any feedback (Good or Bad) would be welcome. The door and windows in the image are from the Thirlmere Station Building kit I am developing at the moment in HO. They push in from the rear, after painting.

19.01.2022 Hi Gang. Just reaching out for some help. I will be attending Liverpool next weekend, unfortunately, Tim has made other arrangement (girlfriend). So I am in need of some special people. What I am after are modellers who would be willing to sit at a clinic table, on Sat, or Sun, or Mon and model and show the public what you are doing and converse with them in a pleasant manner (the idea being we are trying to get them interested not lose them) You will be provided with a pass, lunch, coffee, and my admiration, and you will also have time to view the exhibition. So if you are free for any of the days and would like to show the public what you do, please private message me.------- First in first served, get in quick, it will be fun because we do fun especially well, and please wear your thickest skin, you may need it.

18.01.2022 Howdy Gang. Just uploaded 5 new 3D printed Storage units onto krmodels. They are colour coded to indicate their storage capacity 6 hole, Red, 9 hole, Orange, 12 hole, Green, 15 hole, Blue and 18 hole, Black. They are by order only and I will be printing them as needed, depending on demand. The kit only includes the 3D components , and the modeller needs to obtain the 25 mm and 20 mm Conduit. The prices are on the website, and the links to all 5 pages are below. You will also ...find a PDF file to download (same Pdf File) on each page. 6 hole - http://krmodels.com.au/krm_misc_005_page.html 9 hole - http://krmodels.com.au/krm_misc_006_page.html 12 hole - http://krmodels.com.au/krm_misc_007_page.html 15 hole - http://krmodels.com.au/krm_misc_008_page.html 18 hole - http://krmodels.com.au/krm_misc_009_page.html Have a look at the pdf file and please let me know how it sounds: - http://krmodels.com.au/KRM_Storage_Units.pdf

18.01.2022 Hi Gang I just received a test etch, for some HO fencing mesh, etched in 0.2 mm Nickel Silver. It was etched in sheets of 200 mm x 55 mm. and I can keep doing that. But I think it would be better to be done in scale 6-foot (height) sections, which would also make the smaller sections cheaper for those not wanting a larger sheet. I am looking for feedback from the modeller. Feel free to comment.

17.01.2022 Still looking for people willing to spend a day or all weekend at Liverpool on the clinic table, I have a few people willing to do a day, but I still have a few spots to fill. You need to be doing something of interest and be able to communicate with the public, by way of explaining what you are doing. Lunch provided.

16.01.2022 Just an update. for Keiran Ryan Models. The first thing that has been added, is the a collection of Self Tapping miniature screws, from 1 mm diameter up to and including 2.3 mm in diameter. As well the self tapping screws. I now carry 2 mm and 2.5 mm metal threaded screws and nuts in many different lengths and there will also be 3 mm nuts and screws available soon. Check out the link below to work out what you require. https://www.krmodels.com.au/nuts_bolts.html I have also ...started to carry a range of Scale Hardware rivets, and some nuts and bolts. The range is small at the moment but will grow over time, if there is anything that you require form Scale Hardware, just let me know and I can look at get the items sent over from the USA. Check out the link below to see what is available. https://www.krmodels.com.au/scale_hardware_parts.html I will be at Rose Hill over the next weekend, so come past and have a chat.

15.01.2022 Hi Gang. These 2 different HO Scale NSWGR buffer stop should be available for sale from next week, The body and head beam come as separate pieces, in both kits. The larger buffer stop has holes for 4 screws (1.4 mm x 8 mm screws included in the kit), and the thin section at the front of the base can be removed, after the kit has been assembled. The smaller kit is the one that was shown over a week ago with a few tweaks, to allow the buffer to be screwed into the base of the layout. It also comes with 12 hex nuts on square washers that are located in the holes on the buffer. Both kits have been undercoated, to show the detail, but they will be sold in the black resin that they are made from. I should have an absolute release date and price early next week.

15.01.2022 Keiran Ryan Models will be trading at the Epping Model Railway Exhibition, at Rosehill Racecourse, Sydney on the weekend of June 8th -10th 2019. I just like to mention that I will be releasing the 7 mm NSWGR Z20 Class Tank Locomotive Kit. It has been a long time coming and the kit will finally be here in June. I will also be holding Z20 loco kit building days at Picton, in June and July. For those who can make it, I can also hold some of these during the week as well as on a ...couple of the weekends in both months. These days will be held so that modellers can actually learn how to build the kit and get some momentum, to finish the kit ASAP. I would hate to have the kits sitting in the cupboard draws for years. Looking forward to getting the model out there. Thanks to all those who have supported the kit. Regards, Keiran Ryan Models. Keep an eye on The "NSWGR Z20 Steam Tank Locomotive" page to see the progress of the pilot model in the next few weeks.

15.01.2022 Hello Gang. We have been accepted at the Sydney Model Railway Exhibition on the Weekend of 29th Sept to 1st October 2018. I have also submitted and been accepted to hold "The Clinic" next to Keiran Ryan Models, and I am looking for volunteers to man the stand and show the general public what we do. This is a great oppurtunity for modellers to show their skills to the general public, in a calm and confortable manner whilst fielding questions, about their particular skill set. So if anyone would like to participate for 1, 2 or the whole 3 days of that weekend, please let me know your availability, and what you will be demonstrating for the paying public, and I will make it happen, don't be shy, let the public see how good you are at what you do.

11.01.2022 To all those on my site, have a safe and Merry Christmas, and enjoy a fabulous New Year.

07.01.2022 I recently showed a small soldering iron (TS100) that I purchased from Banggood in China, and just an update on where to get them and a power supply that I also purchased from eBay ( You can get both from eBay via the links below) BTW - I do not stock either of these items, but I do recommend them https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271970094422... https://www.ebay.com.au//TS100-Mini-Portable/263089403635

05.01.2022 New Product. KRM 060 HO Cyclone Fencing Mesh 0.2 mm Nickle Silver etch 55 mm x 200 mm sheet. $25.00 plus postage, ------- Limited numbers

05.01.2022 Hi Gang. The other day I mentioned that I would like to try printing rivets, in resin. So I tried it and they didn't come out too bad at all. The rivets are 7 mm scale 1 in, 1.5 in, 2 in, 2.5 in and 3 inch. so in HO they would measure 2, 3,4,5 and 6 in . The smallest in on a .45 mm shaft, with the largest on a 1 mm shaft. There are 18 on each sprue. They are sprayed with a light undercoat to show them up a little better. Happy Modelling Keiran Ryan

05.01.2022 Hi Gang. Just received some new product today from my etcher. I was hopeing that it would arrive before the recent exhibition at Rose Hill but alas it did not, but better late than never. I have drawn up some Barbed Wire Cyclone Fencing in 5 x 10 feet lengths, Barbed Wire gates in single and double formats both with and without Barbed Wire and Weldmesh fencing in 2 variations just over 8 feet long. The items are all in HO Scale and etched in 0.2 mm Nickle Silver so that can ...be soldered and folded as required. The items will be packed with 0.5 mm brass wire so that they can be soldered to vertical posts which can be bent as per normal 6 foot barbed wire. I will work out pricing in the next week, before DERM on Saturday. I am sure that most layouts would have a place for this product in them and hope that it fills a void. Regards and Happy Modelling Keiran Ryan See more

04.01.2022 Hi Gang. Just received a shipment of HO Ladder Stiles and Ladder Jigs. The ladders make up 2 x 40 foot ladders, and are very simple to make using the ladder jigs. 03.01.2022 Hi There. Some of you may remember a company in Florida USA, from a few years ago called "Scale Hardware". This company owned and operated by Bob Breslauer, sold very small Nuts, Bolts, Rivets, simulated Nuts and Bolts, and many other hard to get items. Bob pulled out of the market a couple of years ago, and the parts were no longer available. Recently through Linton Towell, I found out that a company called Model Motorcars Limited had acquired Scale Hardware, and were selli...ng these parts once more. The company is owned by 2 fellows named Marvin Meit and Jorge Ehrenwald. I have in the past had limited supplies of Scale Hardware parts in stock, but I recently contacted Marvin and arranged a deal to bring these Scale Hardware parts into Australia. These parts will be available in February to sell to modellers who like to add this level of detail to their models. For those interested in this sort of detail, I have provided a link to their website, below. If you would be interested in any product, please give me some feedback as to the type of product and numbers required, and I will endeavour to obtain the parts that modellers want. After all, if I sock items that don't sell or create interest, they will just sit on the shelf gathering dust. Looking forward to supplying even more products to the modelling fraternity. Please go to The website and browse the parts listings and also have a look at some of the other items that they have for sale, and at some of the beautiful models that are on display. Regards and have a very Merry Chrismas and a fantastic New year from Keiran Ryan Models https://www.modelmotorcars.com/scalehardware/

02.01.2022 I found what appears to be a 3D printer project on Kick Starter that is a mix of quality results and cheaper pricing. There are still a few early bird spots available to get in at a cheaper price. And the printer should be available by August this year. Take a look at the video, to see the process. There is also a facebook page when some of the trial prints are available, and they are claiming that you could use 3rd party resins, in this printer. Some of the older machines have very expensive resins, and if the price of the machine and the price of the resins comes down, it then starts to make it viable for the model railway hobbyist, to produce parts directly from 3D printers. https://www.kickstarter.com//phrozen-make-professional-lcd
