25.01.2022 Wellbeing week - DAY 5 - PJ DAY We ended our wellbeing week with a PJ day today to raise money for Headspace. Well done to everyone for joining in the day and making the 2020 Wellbeing Week so successful. Thank you Mrs Clark and the Wellbeing Team for organising the week.



24.01.2022 Our Steer Show Team have just wrapped up their on hoof virtual judging with the Stock Journal. Our team has come away with the second place in the Export Class with our black Simmental donated by Wonnallee Simmental's. The team also got some sound feedback from the judge with their light weight Poll Hereford, donated by Kerlson Pines. Our team takes great pride in preparing their steers for judging which was evident again this year. Thanks to the students on our steer team for all their hard work throughout the year. Hard work pays off.

24.01.2022 Indi, Millie, Anna and Della are in Adelaide this week representing the Upper South East. They were lucky enough to have local Thunderbird player Maisie come and cheer them on.

23.01.2022 SA Variety Bash Participants. Thank you to the SA Variety Club Bash participants that visited our students today. SA Variety Club provide lots of support to our local communities and we always appreciated them stopping to visit our students. Well done to our community who did a fantastic job catering for the bash lunch.

22.01.2022 This week, Bailey, Travis and Jed are representing the Upper South East at SAPSASA Football. The boys had a windy start to the carnival yesterday and finished the day with 2 wins and 1 loss. Good luck for the next two days boys!

20.01.2022 Our wonderful choir students just put on a small performance for our Foundation - Year 2 students. They are now on their way to Bordertown to participate in a joint performance with the Bordertown and Mundulla choirs. Then they are going to celebrate their success from this year. Congratulations to all of our choir students. We know they are incredibly disappointed that they can’t perform as normal, due to COVID. However, they all stuck with it as a team and achieved great t...hings together. A very big thank you to Mrs Robertson and Miss Ellis for their leadership of the choir. We appreciate all the lunch times they have given up to support the students, and all the other jobs that need to be done. Well done on a successful choir in 2020!

18.01.2022 On Wednesday last week the Year 9 students went to the Murraylands Aquatics Centre for what should have been a three-day camp. While we were called back because of the lockdown, the students (and staff) still had a great day of fun on the water. A very big thanks to Aaron and Mr. Hannam for their help on the camp, and for all parents/caregivers who picked up students at very short notice! Miss Gillett

18.01.2022 The Year 11 Hospitality class have been busy finishing their cake decorating task. Each cake had to be created incorporating a vegetable and needed to be decorated for a celebration. Well done to all the students on their great cakes.

17.01.2022 Best of luck to our Wether Team who will compete against 85 other schools Wednesday this week. The students on the wether team have been working extremely hard since February to prepare their sheep for this week's competition. We wish them the best of luck!

11.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that the library will be open to the community on Saturdays, from this Saturday the 28th November. Throughout the week we will have a call and collect service effective immediately. Please assist us in following the current directive by calling 8755 3236 to organise collection of the items you wish at a suitable time, when students are not in the yard. ... We look forward to resuming full service to the community in the near future.

09.01.2022 Today our SRC representatives from Years 3 to 7, took part in an interactive workshop with Kesab. They discussed ways that we can improve the rubbish and recycling at our school. The students also learnt about worm farming and composting. The students were very lucky to have this online opportunity.

08.01.2022 The Sherwood bus is running late this morning. It is on its way to pick up students.

08.01.2022 The Year 2 and Year 3 classes have left the Naracoorte Caves and are on their way back to school for their sleepover. They have had a wonderful day. Let's hope they sleep well tonight!!!

07.01.2022 Our school will be open to all students on Monday. Buses will be operating as usual. We ask that all parents drop off and pick up kids at the gate as we’re minimising visitors and volunteers on-site.... Please note that Water Safety Lessons will not be running next week. We will try to move them to weeks 8 and 9 if possible. Remember if your child is unwell (even mildly) to keep them home until they are 100%. Stay safe and we look forward to seeing students back on Monday.

07.01.2022 Wellbeing Week DAY 3: Today the staff and students celebrated 'Walk to school day'. The students started their morning with a range of fun activities. It was fantastic to see them enjoying the sunshine and having fun being active.

05.01.2022 This week we are celebrating Wellbeing Week. Yesterday our amazing Wellbeing Ambassadors organised lunch time activities for the students to enjoy. It was fantastic to see everyone out enjoying the sunshine and activities!

03.01.2022 Our Wether Team had an outstanding day at the show yesterday, along with Peyton being chosen in the handlers class, the team also walked away with 8th in Best Meat Value. And the most exciting part of the day was winning SECOND in the big prize of Best Meat and Fleece combined. It is a real credit to our Wether Team year after year, placing in the top 2 in this event over four consecutive years. The team beat 84 schools to place second this year. What an outstanding result. We are super proud of the team. Well done team Keith!

03.01.2022 After a great run the past two weeks with our show team, 1. Placing 2nd in Export Class on hoof with our Simmental Steer and 2. Placing 8th in Best Meat Value and 2nd in Overall Meat and Fleece value with our Wethers, this has been topped off today in the Carcass competition. Our Poll Hereford Steer donated by Mark and Anita Wilson from Kerlson Pines, has won: 1st place in Light Domestic Carcass... 1st place in Highest Scoring Poll Hereford AND GRAND CHAMPION Eating Carcass A fantastic achievement by all involved! Special mention to Tom Baker from Wonnallee Simmental Stud for their donation of our Black Simmental, he placed 11th today in the Export class, a great outcome in a pool for 30 Steers!
