20.01.2022 WE’RE BACK After a short Christmas and New Year break, the Keith Payne VC Veteran’s benefit Group ‘Walk to Talk’ started again this morning. A small group of hearty members were on hand for our first great walk around Harry Sawkins Park for 2021, followed many great stories. A quick reminder that we walk on Mondays(stepping off at 0800) and Fridays (stepping off at 0730) from the Shoalhaven Council chambers. Come one come all
14.01.2022 The Keith Payne VC Veterans Benefit Group topped off what can only be described as a busy and fantastic week with our Friday ‘walk to talk’. To give an indication of what we have been up to this week; We held our Monday ‘walk to talk’, Tuesday we held our AGM, ... Wednesday we kicked off our Veterans surf program at Gerroa beach (even got a double page spread in the telegraph), followed by our HMAS Voyager commemoration on the banks of the beautiful Shoalhaven river. Thursday morning ‘Chance and Bec’ on 2UUU held an interview with one of esteemed guests (Mr Michael Pratt GC). Friday afternoon we met Steve the owner of Grain And Marble Restaurant and Wine Bar for a refreshing beverage . What a week Many thanks to many people throughout this week. Including our fine Keith VC Veterans Benefit Group members who work tirelessly for our Veteran community and Rob Crawford from the South Coast register. A special thankyou to our honoured guests: Mr Keith Payne VC AM, Mrs Flo Payne OAM, Mr Michael Pratt GC and Dianne Pratt, Ron Payne, Col Payne, Heidi & Greg Payne. Wishing a huge thankyou to Cameron Boxswell for everything he does for our group and for the veteran community. We would also like to thank our three Chaplains from HMAS Albatross for supporting our Voyager commemoration.

01.01.2022 Another beautiful day in the magnificent Shoalhaven and a fantastic turn up for the twice weekly Keith Payne VC Veteran’s Benefit Group ‘Walk to Talk’. We are so proud of this crew and everything they do in and around our local community. Though moving to a temporary area in the Shoalhaven city Council building, Shane and the crew from the Shoalhaven Entertainment centre coffee did a Stirling job in once again looking after us.... We all missed our Chairman, Rick Meehan, who was up in Kirra looking after his Mum. A reminder: We step off from the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre grassed area at 0800 on Monday’s and 0730 on Fridays. We enjoy a mind clearing walk around Harry Sawkins park, followed by hot brews and even hotter conversation on completion. Come one come all
