25.01.2022 HEART OF AUSTRALIA OPEN DAY IN CHILDERS SUNDAY, 29 NOVEMBER All community members are invited to the Heart of Australia Community Open Day in Childers by CEO Dr Rolf Gomes on Sunday, 29 November from 9am-noon. Have a look inside one of Heart of Australia's Heart Trucks and speak to its founder, Dr Rolf Gomes and hear what the mobile medical specialist service means for people in the region.... The Community Open Day will be held in front of Ergon Substation on Lions Drive under strict COVID restrictions. Come have a tour of the state-of-the-art mobile clinic, ask any questions you have about the Heart Truck (designed by Dr Gomes), Heart of Australia services, and find out how you can secure a future appointment. The Federal Government supports the Heart of Australia program, including the services it provides to the people of Childers and surrounding communities.

25.01.2022 The successful On-farm Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate Scheme will receive a $50 million boost to allow more farmers to invest in new bores, better dams and pipes to move water to their stock. This investment in our farmers provides rebates up to 25% of the eligible infrastructure costs, capped at $25,000. The scheme, which was managed by states and territories, was over-subscribed by an estimated 2000 applications. ... I want to make this support work even harder by partnering with the states and territories who must match the Commonwealth funding for eligible on-farm water infrastructure projects. The Federal Government’s extra $50 million will be available this financial year to drought affected livestock producers and horticulturalists with permanent plantings.
