21.01.2022 Due to a hardware failure my old landline number 5443 9709 is not receiving calls. The new number (which is the preferred number) 5313 3567 was also out, but is *now back on line*. Apologies for anyone who was trying to get through! Keith

20.01.2022 Windows 7 'end of life' - 14th January 2020 You may have have heard or got a notification on your computer that Microsoft will no longer be supporting Windows 7 after 14/1/2020. If you are one of the many people that still use and prefer Windows 7 be aware that Windows 7 will still operate after that date just as it has done, and if you really want to keep using it you still can. End of life means that Microsoft will no longer be providing updates for Windows 7, and gradually... your computer will be more susceptible to security problems (hackers etc) I have been suggesting to people that ask, that they make sure that Windows is totally up to date before that date, and also have a robust antivirus program (preferably not one of the free ones) in place. There will come a time though when you will have to change, probably within 3-6 months afterwards. If you are thinking of getting a new computer this would be the best time to make the change. 11.01.2022 I have a couple of ex government Dell 780 slimline desktop computers here. Running Windows 7 Pro and really nice machines for internet/email. $200 each plus a bit extra to transfer your data over. Give me a call!

07.01.2022 If you have Windows 7 or 8 or 8.1 and your Windows updates are current you will notice an offer to upgrade to Windows 10. This is free and will be available for 12 months from the release date. I would advise not to upgrade for a month or 3 to give Microsoft time to iron out teething probems. Also, some people use Windows Media Center for watching TV or playing other media. If you use this, do NOT upgrade to Windows 10 as this feature is not available with Windows 10. Sorry folks! http://www.zdnet.com/article/rip-windows-media-center/
