25.01.2022 Vote 1: Daria KELLANDER Is your voting ballot sitting on your kitchen table? On your fridge? Still haven't opened the envelope? Or is it ready to post and you just haven't done it yet? Completed ballot papers must be in the mail, or hand-delivered to the election office by 6pm Friday 23 October. The election office is located on Level 1 of the Williamstown Town Hall, 104 Ferguson Street (enter via the sliding glass doors between the Town Hall and the Library).... Voters who haven’t received their ballot pack should contact their election office to arrange a replacement as soon as possible. This election, I'm asking for your support and to VOTE 1: Daria KELLANDER. A vote for me is a vote for a representative who will: Oppose rates and fee rises, especially during Covid-19. Advocate for an Altona North/Brooklyn train station. Drive initiatives that support businesses, residents & sporting clubs to get through Covid-19. Ensure our Council’s spending is responsible, and based on community needs. Invest in initiatives that provide safety, protect and promote our environment, and support the health and well-being of our community. Support a review to provide an effective bin system for all. Bring a family and community focus back into Council. Advocate for residents requiring aged care and disability support. Bring back genuine community engagement and transparency of decisions. Furthermore: I am 100% independent, and self-funded. I'm not in this for me, I'm doing this for our community. We deserve better! I believe that Council can do better, so I'm stepping up to take on that challenge. #ItsTime4Change #local4locals #kellander4cherrylakeward

18.01.2022 Donations - Let's talk about transparency and accountability: Every candidate this election will be required to submit a donation return, to declare all donations recieved > $499. The community however don't get to see it until after the election is done and dusted... So here's my donation return - not just those over $499.... Donations received $0.00 I'm fully funding my own campaign! This means I don't answer to developers, political parties, special interest groups, lobbyists or any such groups. It means I answer to YOU! Our community. I am accountable to the community, the only way it should be! #ItsTime4Change #local4locals #kellander4cherrylakeward

16.01.2022 I am so happy to be part of the new look HBCC Councillor team, and plan on working collaboratively with all Councillors to bring about the changes we need for Hobsons Bay.

10.01.2022 Join us for our Super Tuesday, Hobsons Bay Council meeting, kicking off at 7pm Tuesday night. On the agenda: Adoption of the Proposed Annual Budget 2021-22... Draft Hobsons Bay Mobile Vendors Policy 2021 (i.e: Mr Fresh) Certificate of Recognition - Inner West Air Quality Community Reference Group Extension of COVID-19 Free Garbage Bin Upsize Program Dow Chemical Australia - Covenant Variation COVID-19 Community Support Summary And more Attend the meeting in person at the Altona Civic Centre, or view the live stream here: http://webcast.hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au/

09.01.2022 I voted against the Adoption of the Proposed Annual Budget 2021-22 as I DO NOT SUPPORT A RATE RISE during Covid-19 recovery. I stated this in my campaign, and after taking part in Councillor conversations involving the budget, I remain true to my word and my campaign promise. Voting record on the night is as follows: - Those who voted AGAINST the budget (i.e. against the rates rise): Cr Briffa, Cr Grima - Those who voted in SUPPORT of the budget: Cr Tyler, Cr Hemphill, Cr...Continue reading

08.01.2022 Today's primary vote count has put me in 2nd place with a whopping 18.52% of the Cherry Lake vote, with 99% of the vote count! I'd like to thank everyone that voted for me and supported me throughout my campaign. I never thought I'd get this far. This is the highest primary vote % for a female across Hobsons Bay this year so far. I truely feel humbled, and appreciate the support. I ran a real grassroots campaign, without the financial backing of political parties, or dona...tions, and placed only a handful of corflutes up in residents yards. Thank you everyone! What a great result! The fight is still not over. We'll need to wait for remaining vote count & the preferences to roll out. Fingers crossed To end: I'd like to congratulate Councillor Tony Briffa for a smashing result with the highest primary vote % in Hobsons Bay Here's hoping I get the opportunity to work with you to represent the amazing community we have

07.01.2022 CEO performance KPI motion rejected: I submitted a Notice of Motion as attached on Monday afternoon however it was unfortunately rejected by the CEO at 6.47pm Friday night, just before the final Council meeting agenda and attachment were released. I will organise a future meeting with the CEO to discuss to have my NOM in an amended form be listed at a subsequent meeting.

05.01.2022 My name's in the paper again: The bin issue has been taken up by a number of candidates across all wards within HBCC. This is one of the biggest issues that residents have contacted me about, and it's obviously not going unnoticed by candidates who are willing to address community needs. Although not everyone is having an issue, many residents are, and it's unfair to ignore, or dismiss them... While Council promote the statistic that landfill quantity has reduced by 37%, let'...s also remember that landfill collection has been halved (reduced by 50%) leaving a shortfall gap of 13% (it's great to be an accountant - numbers don't lie). Let's also not forget the contamination rate of >45% (increased from the prior systems 12%)... There is an issue, and sweeping it under the rug only prevents us all from progressing, and finding a real solution that works... Note: while the guy in the photo says he doesn't have an issue and allows his neighbours to fill up his excess bin space, it's obvious his neighbours have an issue if they're needing to do this...

03.01.2022 Thank-you to everyone who has supported my campaign for the Cherry Lake Ward The results are in... and I have been elected to represent Cherry Lake Ward, alongside Tony Briffa. I look forward to meeting the newly elected Councillors, and working to represent Hobsons Bay
