23.01.2022 Spring has sprung and we have been making activities and crafts together. The lacing card images were from brainstorming with my 4 year old early birds who answered my question of what might we find in the garden? Our beautiful butterflies were made from our coloured paper towel pieces with pipe cleaners.

23.01.2022 A few new photos of our recent activities.

21.01.2022 We are seeking Educators in all areas & are currently offering a great incentive to join our wonderful scheme...For further details call us or pop in to find out more

20.01.2022 In Family Day Care we have mixed age groups and this article, although relating to a centre, highlights the benefits of this. http://thespoke.earlychildhoodaustralia.org.au/mixed-age-g/

19.01.2022 A great idea to help your children develop skills they’ll need as they grow and develop.

17.01.2022 Colours, numbers and shapes. I didn’t consider that the texta colour would be hard to match to the coloured circles when I first set up the activity . Lesson learned- I cut more exact match circles and glued them on to make the task easier for the young ones who are learning this skill. Our flower outline had us talking about shapes and counting out how many we needed to complete our pictures. The children are 4.4,4.4,3.9 and 2 on the weekend and they all participated in this.

17.01.2022 Remember our bake sale is on this Friday 9am outside IGA!

16.01.2022 This month has seen us using our recycling in new ways. We keep a lot of lids, containers and cardboard rolls in our supplies.

12.01.2022 We made our own simple matching activity using some stickers I already had. It took just a few minutes to make but it was used over and over this week. The children can try matching the pictures and to further engage in conversations, name the vehicle, name the colour of the vehicle, count how many (bikes/ yellow ones) etc. It also opens converts where they would tell me where they’ve seen one, or they actually have one.

10.01.2022 We were lucky enough to attend the opening of Moffatt Park and meet our local Mayor. The new playground was a hit.

10.01.2022 We have been talking about farms this month and today we got to pick our own carrots straight from the paddock! We compared sizes and washed the mud off to take them to our homes to eat with our families.

03.01.2022 Easter is fast approaching so we have begun our Easter activities.

03.01.2022 So many things to do each day. We are very lucky that our local camping store donates empty boxes to our scheme. They are a great addition to our resources and can be used in lots of ways. We have also been learning about the weather and it was great to receive some much needed rain.

01.01.2022 Monday and Tuesday spots available from April 8th. Call or PM for enquiries.
