25.01.2022 Today we looked to our natural environment for artistic inspiration. We explored the trees and flowers beds to source materials that we could use for our next art project. Selecting flowers, leaves and other bits an pieces that we could use for a pressed flower collage or canvas. The children helped from beginning to end. This allowed them to develop their artistic skills by thinking outside the box, using sustainable practices and incorporating them into a new learning exper...ience whilst further developing their fine motor skills and practice being cautious while handling sharp scissors. 20.01.2022 Today at Kelly's Family Daycare, we worked on our writing skills. We used a write on, wipe off book to do this. Ashton and Max used a rub off pen to practice their pencil grip and number recognition. We looked at the numbers and counted them as we went through the book. This activity required concentration and focus as well as following verbal and written instructions. Children had to manipulate to the pen in order to hold it correctly and trace then freehand the numbers.

We offer a diploma qualified educator with 10 years in the field. Experienced in working with children aged 6 weeks to 12 years of age. We supply nutritional meals for breakfast, morning tea and afternoon tea. Supplied also, wipes, sheets, a hat to use during kindy hours, drink bottles to use during kindy hours and sunscreen. All you will have to pack is a change of clothes, lunch and any specials dietary needs that your children require. We have several different play spaces both inside and outside as well as a designated quiet area for rest time. Kelly's family daycare is open from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. 14.01.2022 Good morning, Kelly's Family Daycare is offering temporary positions to school age children during this Covid-19 pandemic. I am located near Marsden High School, Diploma qualified educator, run through Amana Family Day care Scheme.... Being that this is a family daycare, our ratios are lower which means smaller groups of children in care. This limits the chances of contracting viruses and other bugs. I take extra measures to keeping my service healthy and hygienic for myself, my family and the children and families in which I care for. I have a strict hand washing and hand sanitizing routine in place which all my families and children follow. As soon as you enter my service, you are directed to my sanitizing station where you to follow my displayed hand sanitizing directions. This is done EVERYTIME anyone enters my service. This helps maintain my hygienic, germ free environment. (as much as possible). I monitor children and if the develop or are showing signs of being unwell, parents are connected immediately. I follow a strict cleaning routine throughout the day to ensure all areas are clean, sanitary and maintained at all times. I also provided a fun, exciting program to cater for children's learning and developmental ages. I provide some meals, wipes, sunscreen, a hat during play, sheets, drink bottles and multiple play and learning spaces that your children will love to explore. 13.01.2022 Here at Kelly's Family daycare, we have introduced a little borrowing area where children can select and borrow a variety of different titles and return them in a week's time. Pending on how we all go with borrowing, looking after and returning the books on time, the plan is to extend our borrowing to DVDs, toys and games. It has only been set up this afternoon and still needs some adjustments and prettying up. It will happen soon I'm extremely excited about this new resource and cannot wait to expand it to a wider range

12.01.2022 Evening all. I am now up to date with all information regarding this Covid-19 Virus, how it spreads, how to protect myself, my family, children in my care and their families, the myths and actual facts and ins and outs. I will be updating precautions with in my house hold and my service so that I am doing everything possible to keep all with in my care safe. I have completed a QLD Govenment course this evening and am now able to truly understand this virus.

Minimum of 2 booked hours in the morning and the same for the afternoon. I also have limit spots across the week for children aged 1 to 5 years of age. Minimum of 8 booked hours per day.... 06.01.2022 Good morning all. Kelly's family daycare now has a waiting list. This is for under 5's ATM. You can secure a spot on the waiting list with your selected days of care. ... When a position becomes available, you will be contacted pending your placement on the list and if the available days match your request. I have 2 fulltime positions available for school age care and can cater for Marsden and Crestmead primary. You can now arrange a time for a tour of the service and can be added to the wait list if your child is under 5 years. I have lots to offer. Come and see for yourself. I look forward to meeting you.

05.01.2022 National reconciliation week 27.5.20 - 1.6.20. We celebrated by making some beautiful dot painting on paper plates, boomerangs and snakes. We will be doing more during the week. We further developed our fine motor skills, hand eye coordination skills, cultural inclusion practices, creativity and exploration skills during these fun activities.

05.01.2022 We love using play dough to express ideas and creativity. Manipulating the play dough into different shapes helps with our fine motor development. Not to mention, it's just plain fun for all ages. Children requested to incorporate the use of dough into our activities again today.
