20.01.2022 Today we're remembering my dad Danny Sunnex who we lost 12 months ago. I thought I'd share a little bit about him ... In 1962 he got his truck license at age 16,(In NZ you could get your heavy vehicle license if you had written permission from your folks) Dad drove trucks his whole life, carted logs, timber, wood chips, fertilizer .... I think the only thing he didn't cart was livestock! He was such a workaholic, up early and gone for the day before we got up and we were alw...ays tucked into bed before he got home. He taught us that hard work pays off and being kind to one another was important. People often ask how I cope being married to a truck driver, how I get by with Matt away as much as he is ..... I get by because it's all I've ever known, it's the way I've been raised, I wouldn't have it any other way Dad was such a great sounding board for us, his experience and advice we miss each and every day!
