25.01.2022 Did the Beatles compare themselves to Beethoven? Imagine if they did. They may have given up thinking, we have no chance of ever being as good as this guy, and the world would have been a poorer place without their music. ... The thing is, just as Beethoven and the Beatles have their own unique gift to give the world, so do you. There is simply no point in comparing yourself to others. Stay in your own lane. Keep hold of your joy and don’t let it go because of what someone else might be doing. What they’re doing is really none of your business. #joy #comparison #happiness #stayinyourownlane #unique #gift

22.01.2022 When Henry Ford told his mechanical engineers that he wanted an 8 cylinder vehicle, they told him it couldn’t be done. Ford insisted they go to their drawing boards and design an 8 cylinder vehicle anyway. They told him again and again it couldn’t be done. ... He sent them back to their drawing boards again and again. Eventually, through my perseverance, the V8 engine was born. Ford was clear on his vision. But he didn’t just dream about it. He kept doing something about it. He didn’t give up at the first, second, third or twentieth failure. He kept going until he succeeded. Like the V8 engine, most answers to problems reveal themselves by DOING, not by thinking. Are you clear on your vision? If so, start taking action to make it a reality. kellyanddwayne.com #dream #action #vision #ford #answers #solutions #clear #reality #adventure #determination

21.01.2022 There was a time when I was convinced it was the man who had to earn all the money for the family. Why? Because society told me so. ... There was a time when I thought the only way to earn an income was to go to a place of work, work 40 hours and receive a wage. Why? Because society told me so. There was a time when I thought "multiple streams of income" meant I worked my own business, then worked 2 other jobs, leaving me zero time and energy with my family. Why? Because society told me so. There was a time when I thought that I could only earn so much because there were only so many hours in the day. Why? Because society told me so. Stuff society. Now I am doing things my own way. Supporting my wife while we both earn an income together. Working from home, or for that matter, anywhere I choose. Starting businesses where the more I start and automate, the less time I need to spend of them. Leveraging the tools at my disposal to create unlimited business potential. It took a while for me to realise that I had been programmed by society, but once I broke those chains I have never felt so free. Have you ever felt the same at some point in your life? If so, reach out and let me show you how you too can break free from the mould society tries to squash you into. Send me a message and we'll chat.

15.01.2022 Here is a quote I read recently It’s just as easy to believe we’re awesome as it is to believe we’re giant sucky things. A wee while ago I found myself being introduced to members of a legendary rock band by their manager in the UK. I had no idea what the heck I was doing there. ... I was being introduced as some kind of Australian radio personality. I felt like a fraud, because I was not a major radio personality. I was just a small time DJ who did it for the love of music. I had no pull in the industry. I wasn’t influential towards the masses of music lovers in Australia in any way, shape or form. I was a nobody. But what that the truth? I only saw myself as a nobody. The band’s manager saw me as someone who was passionate about the music he was promoting and he respected my dedication in travelling to the other side of the planet to see them perform live. He may also have perceived me as someone who could possibly have the ear of a potential promoter in Australia. As a manager he was no doubt also a skilful networker so was making sure his bases were covered. The important thing though is how did I view myself? A fraud, a nobody, and with no influence. What a flipping negative way to view myself. Imagine the confidence I would have had in that situation had I viewed myself the way that manager did. At the very least I would have felt worthy to be in the room. There have been several times where this kind of thing has happened to me. Has it happened to you? In future, I’m going to try to view myself more like others do. You should try the same. Because how others see you is often a far more reliable indicator of reality than your own self-perception. #loveyourself #perception #reality #confidence #positive

11.01.2022 Think about it. What is going to happen if you do something you’ve always wanted to do? Act in a play?... Do a live video on social media? Sing to a live audience? You’ve got all your doubts and fears What if I stink? What if no one likes me? What if I fail in some way? Guess what? 08.01.2022 HOW I TOOK BACK MY POWER AFTER DOMESTIC VIOLENCE Going for a walk was something my daughter had done many times before. Only this time...... She never came home. Part of me died that day. I was about to marry the love of my life and it was meant to be a time of immense happiness and joy. Instead my heart was broken... Crushed. And that’s exactly what my ex wanted! He did the one last thing he could try that would inflict the most pain and destroy my happiness... He took my daughter from me. Poisoning her mind, he psychologically and emotionally manipulated her into hating me. I had become yet another statistic of parental alienation. One of the cruelest and most devastating things one parent can do, not only to the other, but most importantly, to their child. It’s a form of domestic violence and is a largely overlooked form of child abuse, although it’s estimated 11-15 % of children of divorced parents experience it! The feelings of powerlessness in these situations is soul destroying. It had just been my daughter and I for so long... Now she was gone. Although the courts these days are better equipped in dealing with parental alienation... It’s too late for me. My daughter is now 21. She has never come back. Every day I feel grief. The grief a parent feels in cases of parental alienation is likened to a living death. It’s hard to find words to describe how much losing a child in this way destroys you. For 5 years I let it consume me. Then... It hit me! I realised my ex, through the loss of my daughter, was still abusing me!! So I decided enough was enough... It was time to take back my power. It was around this time a good friend of mine introduced me to an online educational platform that teaches people how to: Be their own boss Work their own hours Work from anywhere I could see how it was changing so many aspects of my friends life, both financially and personally. I wanted a part of that! Since starting my own online affiliate marketing business I have experienced so much personal growth. I no longer feel broken and crushed. I have totally regained my confidence. And I have taken back my power! I am my own boss. I can work where and when I want. And I’m a part of an awesome community of affiliate marketers that have really helped and supported me to succeed. Talk about life changing. That’s why I want to share this with you. Click the ‘Send Message’ button below to connect with me via messenger and I will send you the link to a 30 minute presentation that will show how you too can transform your life. Much love, Kelly

08.01.2022 Our minds are insanely powerful engines of creation. Are we using them the right way? Most of us tend to wait for the how things will happen before we decide on what we will do. ... But really, the how isn’t important. The most powerful thing we can do, is focus on WHAT we want to achieve, and then develop firm belief that it WILL happen. Then, as if by magic, the how begins to present itself. All we have to do is hone our beliefs. You’ll be amazed at the solutions that present themselves, oftentimes better and more magical than you ever imagined in the first place. #believe #imagine #conceive #acheive #what #mind #power #creator

08.01.2022 I love hearing stories. Do you? I often ask the person I am talking to tell me the story is behind a ring, a necklace or a tattoo. So what's the story behind the watch? To you, it might be a simple timepiece. ... But... In 2011 I took a vacation to the UK. The main reason I was there was to follow around my favourite band. I assumed they would never come to play in Australia and this would be my only chance to see them. (They have since toured Australia 3 times!) But at the time I was also presenting a radio show back home in Tasmania. Through my show I'd made contact with, interviewed and reviewed/promoted many artists I admired, both famous and up and coming. Some of the artists I'd interviewed agreed to meet up with me for a beer and a catch up in person, as I was criss-crossing all over England on the train. One artist in particular met me at the train station and took me back to his home. He was a lovely feller. His 8 or 9 year old son was also there and the boy wanted to play the drums for me. It was lovely to connect in person. I distinctly remember a discussion around the use of death growl lyrics in rock music, as I couldn't stand them, and how I should listen to them if I want to appreciate them in some way. It was a very interesting conversation. I've never listened to death growls in the same way since. I always refer to this conversation when I hear them. Bazza then took me too his local, a quaint little pub in a small village in the countryside. It's the type of place I only ever saw on television but had fallen in love with. We had a few pints and a lovely meal. For some reason I needed or wanted to buy a new watch. Bazza agreed to take me into the nearest town and find a shop. The town happened to be Grantham, the birth place of Margaret Thatcher. That fact sticks in my head for some reason. So with Bazza and his son, I bought this watch and I still wear it to this day. I am still reminded of that incredible trip I took to the UK and I especially remember that wonderful day I spent in Grantham and it's surrounding towns. There is ALWAYS a story behind everything. What's a story of yours?

06.01.2022 A beautiful oasis in the most northern city in Australia.

02.01.2022 Do NOT accept defeat! It’s okay to fail. Sometimes you won’t win at first. ... There’s a big difference between failing and accepting defeat, though. If you give up every time you are defeated, you will never amount to anything. Keep pushing forward, always. It doesn’t matter what you get hit with. If you are able to keep fighting, then keep fighting! Never lie down, never be defeated! You will win if you keep trying. You’ve got this! Kelly

01.01.2022 Do you know who the lady is in this picture with me? If you do, you’ll likely be thinking one of two things. You’ll either be:... 1. Excited and geeking out that you know who it is and remembering how much the tv show she was in had influenced you throughout your life. Or 2. Feeling a sniggering disgust and embarrassment for me that I would be wasting my time and money geeking out over an ancient science fiction show. And if I told you that the lady in the picture is actress Katy Manning, who appeared in Doctor Who between 1971 and 1973, you’d have one of the two above reactions or you would be completely indifferent. There is a fourth reaction you might have. You may not comprehend why I have such a devotion to what is essentially a children’s science fiction program, but you can see what it means to me and you choose to celebrate my excitement with me. Experience has proven to me that the vast majority of people go with the second option. It beggars my belief, as I watch people around me turn into sports geeks during football or cricket season. The immediate emotional fix of sport is after all, far, far more important than exploring a universe of endless imagination through incredible storytelling. Isn’t it? Anyway Here is my point. Your reaction is completely yours. I do not own it. What other people think about you or what you choose to do has nothing to do with you and everything to do with them. The only thing you have a responsibility for is what you say and do. You don’t have a responsibility for whether or not people freak out about it. I do believe there are limits to this though. For example, I would never advocate any kind of hate speech or extremism, which is where a lot of advocates of free speech want to go. What you say and do must be tempered by love for the other person and for yourself. It’s all about balance. Stay true to yourself, know your why, do your best, trust your intuition. While criticism comes in many forms, don’t overlook constructive criticism that may come your way. If you can use it to better your life and the lives of others, honestly ask yourself if you can use the advice. Be balanced. But stay true to yourself. And when you next encounter someone who is far, far more excited about something than you are Share the excitement. kellyanddwayne.com #balance #truth #true #reaction #responsibility
