25.01.2022 20 March 2021 World Happiness Day What makes you happy?... If you know me, you will know that this has been a passion of mine for quite some time now. I find understanding your self-worth, self-love or setting boundaries to take care of yourself helps to promote happiness. I believe happiness is found within. It is about doing the things and stuff that brings you joy. Recently, I have been baking cake to celebrate birthdays, colouring, lettering, going for walks, having coffees with friends and cuddles with my animals. For me the little moments which will be life long memories are what makes me happy. You could love getting gifts, having someone do an act of service for you, reciving a physical touch, hearing words of affirmation or spending quality time with someone special. These are love languages and a great way to understand what will help bring more happiness to you. Comment below what makes you happy. I know I'm a day late... but its world happiness day. Let's spread some positivity and happiness!!

25.01.2022 Flowers Throughout March I have had flowers at the house. Birthday has been beautiful. Mark, friends and work have spoiled me with lovely flowers. The last time I received flowers was my birthday last year. Mark surprised me with a bouquet of edible flowers - cupcake flowers. ... We normally don't have flowers because Ruby used to try and eat them all the time. She hasn't tried to eat any of them this month so maybe fresh flowers will be seen around the house more. If you know me, you know I have fake plants everywhere throughout the house. I'm now up to a love bouquet of flowers, a Kokedama (hand made by yours truely) and an off cut from a friend. Look at me go! Comment below what brings light, life and smiles into your house?

25.01.2022 Creativity Creativity is said to be our ability to develop and express our ideas in different ways. We can express creativity in many different way - the way we look, the way we treat ourselves, the way we treat others and the way we live in our environment. I recently started a new hobby m- lettering. It’s a lot like calligraphy only its more of a modern day take on calligraphy. I use all sorts of pens on paper to letter or my iPad to letter like Idid for this post. Yes, th...is is my writing with a creative spin. This hobby is making me slow down, breathe, relax and smile. I love seeing my creations and how I am progressing. I feel it is easy to letter on paper but learning to use the Apple Pencil has been quite fun. Time, it will take time. I am loving it though. You will see a lot more of my works on here as I try and doodle every day. It is part of my happier, healthier me. Are you being creative? Not sure what to do? What brings you joy? What did you do when you were younger that brought you joy? Can you add that into your current lifestyle? You might need to be a little bit creative to add it in or find some time but I am confident if I can, that so can you. Comment below what sparks your creativity?

24.01.2022 The Daily Squeeze - Take 204: Show Up

23.01.2022 This past weekend and this week is all about Buddy. Buddy went in for day surgery on Friday. His right eye was at the stage that it needed to be removed. It was starting to cause him pain and discomfort. The surgery went well ... The vet has asked that Buddy be on bed rest - no jumping and only light walks. for 10 days!! When the vet told me that Buddy should be back to his old self within 48 hours, I was sceptical because he was so not himself when we picked him up. Well, with every nap and bit of food we saw more and more of our happy Buddy. He is miserable in the Cone of Shame, but all he wants to do it go outside and play ball. His toys have been picked up from around the yard and it is gut wrenching to not play with him. I have had heart stopping moments through the weekend have been: - Morph getting in Buddys face - Morph's tail whips to the face when he walks by Buddy (Mark and I are becoming arm wailing, tail stopping machines) - Buddy getting a bit of run up while outside - Buddy wanting to do his perimeter check through the trees with the Cone of Shame - Buddy wanting to go up and down the stairs by himself with the Cone of Shame -Buddy jumping on and off the bed and couches with the Cone of Shame. I know what you're thinking - just don't let him. HA! It's like having a puppy again. All is good, Buddy is resting and I go to get something done and BOOM he decides to jump or move so he can get more comfortable. My heart stops, I hold my breath and wait. Its done and everything is fine. I'm thankful I work from home. I'm thankful Buddy and Morph sleep more when Mark is at work. I will be VERY thankful when this week is over. All honesty, Buddy is amazing and the best little man for going through this. He truly is our best friend and the toughest pupper around

23.01.2022 What lights you up? I have been getting crafty lately and the creativity brings me a lot of joy. Its like a slowing down of life but also a focus of something that makes me light up so when I'm done being crafty, I am filled with a lightness and delight that transfers to those around me. I have been colouring, drawing, lettering as well as my normal journalling. It is a bit of wowness to brighten my days since its been quite rainy for this time of year up here in Sunny Que...ensland. What have you been up to that lights you up? Let me know in the comments below! #light #lightyouup #happiness #joy #creativity #sunshineonarainyday #creative #create #movingmeditation

20.01.2022 The Daily Squeeze - Take 202: What's for dinner?

15.01.2022 Be crafty! This week I have tuned into some self-love hobby that get my creative juices flowing. I've been colouring!! Adult colouring books are such a good way to zone out and focus on something simple that brings you joy - well at least it does for me.... What do you do for a bit of chill out time? Is it a hobby, exercise or a quiet drive home after work? No matter what it is, as long as it helps you switch off from your busy like to smile and do something you enjoy - I say go for and do it as often as possible. #hobby #colour #markers #colouring #selfcare #selflove #timeout

15.01.2022 What are you doing today for yourself? Ok, let's do this. Remember, you can't pour from an empty cup. Self-care is not selfish, it shows strength. Practising self-care shows that you are important, your life is important and those around you deserve you at your best. ... I think it is great to take a little bit of time to yourself to do something for you. That is how simple self-care is. Be it a few quiet minutes in the wee hours of the day before the house wakes up, a few minutes after everyone has gone to bed or some scheduled time during the day. During this time there is not right or wrong thing to do. During this time you choose to do something that will make you happy. Self-care is about giving you the time to fill up whatever cup needs to be filled. Some practices can be (but not limited to): Sitting in quiet Breath work Exercise Reading Writing Creating Pampering I would love to know what you are up to today. Comment below and let me know. You never know, you could spark motivation in someone

14.01.2022 Colouring in A simple activity like colouring in can do so many positive, happy things for you such as help you to - slow down... - work on hand eye coordination - pracrice patience - overcome perfectionism These are just a few positives I see in myself after colouring, lettering, painting, journaling or whatever creative outlet I choose to undertake for the day. I am enjoying slowing down and being creative these days. Remember, you can't pour from an empty cup. Are you filling up your cup? Is there something you want to try or make time to try? I challenge you to give yourself time to try some different creative outlets to help you relax, unwind, recharge and be you. Comment below what your favourite creative outlet is or what it used to be.

12.01.2022 The Daily Squeeze - Take 205: Friday Celebrations!! - small wins - what brought you happiness - weekend plans: crafting, baking, virtual chats?... Tell me what you're celebrating!

12.01.2022 While I was away from social media, I reset myself. I reset myself from the outside in and inside out doing exactly what I help guide others through in my coaching. It was difficult to listen to myself and not sabotage what I wanted to accomplish. Holding myself accountable was key and I did it through a lot of self-care. My reset was about understanding that I wanted to change my daily routine: sleep better, eat healthier, eat less, move more, think more positive, smile & ...laugh more, enjoy the little moments more, cuddle my fur family as much as possible and do the things and the stuff that bring me joy. So I did that. I detoxed myself from sugar, processed food, gluten, dairy and alcohol for three weeks. At first I kept coffee - one cup, plane no milk/sugar but after a week I didn't even want it nor did I need it. I stripped back to reset - I needed a change and I needed it to last long enough to do good for my insides and outside. After about 2 or 2.5 weeks I began to crave things like rice cakes, almond butter and blueberries or baked beans, tomatoes, cucumber and a runny egg - these are a few of my go to health meals and or snacks depending on the day. This was amazing! I am in the kitchen more and more these days preparing or cooking myself gorgeous meals and snacks. I feel alive again. #healthyhappens #resetyourself #ididme #youdoyou #insideandout @ Cairns, Queensland, Australia

11.01.2022 March 27 National Scribble Day #NationalScribbleDay Scribbling or doodling is a great form of self-care. It can help relieve stress, bring on productivity, improve memory, relaxes the brain and can help you recall information. ... Scribbling has been a part of my life for a while now. I'd say a major part of the last year. I get out my pens, paper and always start with some Scribbling. It makes me feel great. It's my hobby I go to in order to slow down and take stock of what's going on for me. It's a great way to relax. The best part of Scribbling... it is for any artistic ability. I challenge you to inspire your creativity and scribble or doodle away

10.01.2022 Over 6 years ago Mark and I had our first photo taken together Who would have thought we'd be a fur family of five living in Cairns. What an adventure we've been on moving around Queensland in and out of 6 different units/houses - 2 we call our own, 6 overseas trips with way more to come and a whole lots of laughable and not so laughable moments that we turn into laughable moments Thanks for being there by my side @markwalchshofer #partnersincrime #firstphoto #love

09.01.2022 Happiest of Birthdays to Buddy! The older he gets, the grumpier he gets and the more I love him. Buddy turned 5 today. ... Where has the time gone? He is so loyal, obedient and happy. Unless of course he is tired and its bedtime, then you leave him alone. Words can't express how much I love this guy!!!

09.01.2022 We are stronger together

08.01.2022 The Daily Squeeze - Take 203: Go To Meals

08.01.2022 Mark and I are away from the kids this weekend and catching up with some friends. This is our first getaway for 2020. I didn't realise how much I needed this until about 2 days before we were leaving as I was organising last minute details. Ok, I was debating leaving the fur babies alone for a night so we could have an extra night away. After getting leftover brisket, new dog treats tossed about the yard, new outside toys to chew and play with - we left them happy and unknow...ing that it would be a few nights before we get back. I'm so happy we did this. The fur babies are well taken care of now, we've enjoyed this time away. I'm always home and being somewhere different is just what the Dr ordered. I know not everyone can be doing this right now and I am very grateful that we can. Self-care is as simple as quality time with friends. The first friend hug filled my eyes with tears because friends are family here. Not knowing the next time I get to hug my family sucks but being safe and healthy from Covid is highest priority right now. This little getaway allong with all my facetious and chats with family and friends will get me through the next while. Can you currently travel? Where are you dreaming of going? This little trip is making me itch to explore more around Cairns with little weekend trips away (hopefully with the doggies). It is amazing what a little routine mix up can do. #thelittlethings #weekendgetaway #townsville #hugs #friendtime #friendswhobecomefamily #views #water #boats

07.01.2022 23 March 2021 National Puppy Day My goodness isn't Morpheus cute. I sometimes forget how old he is because of his size. ... This guys bring us so much fun and goofiness while keeping us on our toes at what adventure he will get up to next. Happy National Puppy Day to all the lovely, gorgeous pups out there! When I first met Ruby, I renamed her Puppy. She comes to "Puppy" when Mark isn't around. Buddy has been the pawfect pup since day one. He just wants to obey us and be near us. Morph as well but he's not afraid to tell us when we aren't living up to his standards as well Our puppers, I love them. I'm not bias though. When I meet a pupper out in public, I love them too just as much. Each cuddle and pat is precious. My goal in life is to pet all the puppies, everywhere.

06.01.2022 Woah!! Today I went out in public for the second day in a row. It's w big steps for me since I have become such a homebody in 2020 - well even more so than I have been in the past. Today I went to Hair Boutique Smithfield to see Amie and get the world's best hair cut Thank you so much Amie, I am truly feeling amazing and like a new me. It is so fantastic how a little time getting pampered and a hair cut can make someone feel refreshed and ready to take on the world.... The fourth photo is a before photo from workshop I went to yesterday... more on that to come in the next few days.

05.01.2022 I love feel good stories

04.01.2022 Focus Comment below how you are staying focused right now? I'm having some really good days. You know those days where your eyes just flick open and you feel energised and ready to go? The days were you feet know to plants themselves on the floor and your arms are so in tune they know to stretch high up to the sky and then touch your toes. Oh the feeling of the morning being a rush and you can already smell the coffee and hear the dogs plaging even though you haven't got the...re yet. Those days are the best. Some days though my eyes are taking quite a bit of time to adjust so I curl up more in your blankets, keep my eyes closed and just be until all the pets are on the bed with me letting me know it's cuddle time and then breaky time. It feels like sometimes, they even need these days because I've been around them so much and they don't have their time. Either way, my morning routine helps me to get focused. The structure, consistency and the goodness that come from accomplishing the things that mean the most to me in the morning, help keep me ticking boxes all day long. Some days I have more boxes to tick than others. Some days I get outside a lot more than others. Some days I take a couple showers to change up my thoughts and get or keep motivated. Some days the TV and couch call my name earlier than I'd like. Some days I am way more creative than others. These days my weekdays and weekends feel like one big blur but I am staying focused and feeling good. I ride out the highs by going until I drop. On the low days, I give myself until midday, shower and start again. I turn off at night when I'm out. Out of energy. Out of brain power. Out of positivity. Books, baking, ball throwing are my hobbies these days that I do when I'm not switched on to work. These days are a blur but I have a feeling I'll miss them when they are gone so I'm staying focused on being thankful for this time at home, being healthy and doing the things and stuff that keep me happy. #focus #focused #happiness #positivity #onedayatatime #wegotthis #CovidCare #CoronaCare #CovidVibes

03.01.2022 because I embrace it all!!

03.01.2022 You are worthy. Worthy = worth Worth = value Value = Important... We spend so much time on social media (yes, right here where you have stopped your scroll) and we end up comparing ourselves to others, judging other and wishing for things different to what we have. We are all unique. If we were all the same, life would be boring and dull. Embrace your uniqueness. You are you because a you in necessary in the world. Be you. Don’t apologise for who you are to others. Well, as long as others don’t get hurt by your actions. Be genuine. Be authentic. Be you. #youareworthy #worthy #worth #value #importance #knowyourworth #beunique #beyou

02.01.2022 What I've Been Up To I've been really quiet on social media - almost non-existent since Covid. I think my last live was about Showing Up and then poof I disappeared.... #sorrynotsorry #ididme I still don't really have the words to tell you why I've disappeared. I withdrew. I went inward and it wasn't good at the beginning. It was a bit too inward for me. I had to stop seeing the news. I got news from overseas from family and friends and not from the news. I needed to focus inward and understand what I needed in to stop withdrawing. I felt guilty as well because Australia, Cairns particularly, was a safe little bubble for Mark, myself and furries and life hasn't really changed for us - its just kept ticking on. I don't like being far away from family... it can be difficult. Mark is my rock and I love our life. Its hard to explain that but life is not all sunshine and rainbows having moved countries - it gets hard at times. We all have had experiences the last few months. The stories I've heard from family and friends have been both uplifting and gut wrenching. I've been focused on what makes me happy - the little things: everyday little things with Mark, Buddy, Morph and Ruby, cooking new things once a week, baking bread, writing in my journal - getting to know me again, using my favourite coffee mugs, deep chats with family and friends, working, reading, eating the good, the bad and the in-between, enjoying the quiet, exercising, doing projects around the house and just being in this bubble. I needed this time. It was time for me to change and I have. I believe I'm more mindful, I'm more motivated and determined to go after my goals and I am ready to embrace new beginnings. To those of you who have reached out, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you to all of you for your patience with me on this journey. I look forward to slowly but surely sharing a lot more with you. I'm happy to be back
