16.01.2022 Monday Meditation: The Wonderful Human Body - A Self Reflection The miracle of the human body is made up of 50 trillion cells that know exactly what they need to do to keep things running in health, like a well-oiled machine. Homeostasis. All without us telling it exactly what it needs to do, it just keeps on beating, breathing, repairing, defending, renewing, sensing, warning, protecting. Awesome right??!! So what happens when disease occurs? The environment in which these m...agnificent cells live is altered and becomes unbalanced. The result of this is them not being able to perform their part well, things get a bit out of whack - we may end up with a decreased immune system not able to fight off unwanted guests! Our ability to heal may be impaired, to move, to digest, even to rest! Our energy levels may be low, no oomph to thrive, just trying to survive. So what alters our internal environment where these 50 trillion cells call home? We do. We do by what we allow to enter our mind and body. The thoughts we think. The choices we make. The actions and behaviors we do. The emotions and feelings we have. Are they toxic or healthy? So if can bring unbalance to our body, we can bring peace and harmony back right? To thrive, not just survive? Yes! A few ways below to help you start: Detox your thoughts. Speak kindly to yourself, like you would to a loved one. Meditate. Check in with you. Listen to your body, it will tell you what it needs. Fuel your body with fresh wholesome food. Eat a wide variety. Limit the processed stuff. Be mindful of the toxins you consume. Move your body in any way, everyday! Fill it with feel good hormones! Decrease the stress in your life Have fun! Sometimes we have forget that it is okay to play! Acknowledge and understand any old stories you have, preventing you from lunging forward. Learn from these. Every experience we have in our life is an opportunity to learn more about who we truely are. Let go of limiting beliefs. Let go of the old stories that keep you stuck. Take action - big or little, it doesn’t matter, just turning up for yourself is the best step. Be disciplined - repeat, repeat, repeat. Where focus goes, energy flows and results show. Enjoy your new story. Importantly, know that it is okay to ask for help. Trust the magic that resides in you. It’s time.

If you constantly put yourself down, talk negatively to yourself, this affects how you feel and how you behave. If you have told yourself for years that you are not good enough, not pretty enough, not smart enough, not worthy of love, then this is what you receive.... 05.01.2022 How’s your Easter Monday?!
03.01.2022 Who's woken up in the morning with a stiff neck? The kind where your movements are similar to the Tin Man without his oilcan! Yesterday, this was me. Eeekk! Not a great start to the day really! Not so long ago, I would have cursed (ladylike of course ), chucked on a heat-pack, swallowed a couple of anti-inflammatories and gone about my Tin Man day, just feeling the pain and not thinking too much about the why it happened in the first place. Now, it is a little different. I b...elieve that my body is the barometer of my soul, every ailment is a physical sign of something that needs to be addressed and acknowledged. Whether it be stuck emotions, limiting beliefs, thoughts, concepts, anything that arises physically is an invitation to delve inside and ask the questions you already have the answers for. You just need to be willing to listen. So, what was my neck pain telling me? Well, from the words of Louise Hay, "the neck represents the ability to be flexible in our thinking, to see the other side of a question, and to see another person's view point". In other words, I was being inflexible with my thoughts - being stubborn perhaps, somewhere in my life! Interesting! Now, I have the choice to either ignore this call for change, or embrace it. Below is what I did: 1. I Acknowledged the pain. I didn't ignore it like it wasn't there. Doing this will only allow it to resurface again and again, maybe even becoming worse. 2. I sat with it. Precisely where was the pain, and what does this part of the body represent? In this case, the neck represents inflexibility of thoughts. 3. I meditated. I asked myself where in my life am I being inflexible with my thinking? The answer I knew was there floated up to my consciousness. An opportunity for growth they say! Okay, I'm in. I asked myself a few more questions to truely understand what the learning was. Do I really need to let go of this? Yes. 4. I was grateful. I gave thanks to my body for the sign and I had a choice to make, to either leave it for another day or learn to let go of this limiting thought pattern. There are endless ways of doing things and seeing things! 5. Next step - Take action. Reinforce this change of pattern. Now is the time! Okay, so now it's your turn. What is your body telling you? Have a go at the steps I took and see what comes up? If you would like to explore this further, or perhaps you have an ailment somewhere else in your body, I would love help guide you to find your answers within.

01.01.2022 Thoughtful Thursday: What rules govern you? Early on in my soul awakening quest, I stumbled across Don Miguel Ruiz’ book, The Four Agreements. This gave me a great insight into the rules that I lived by, which I was then questioning if these were the best rules for me. You see, most of our rules, or beliefs, values, agreements were given to us when we were to young to know any different. Ruiz writes, As little children, our true nature is to love and be happy, to explore an...d enjoy life; we are completely authentic. But then we learn to be what others think we should be, and because it’s not okay for us to be what we are, we start pretending to be what we are not. By the time we are teenagers, we’ve learned to judge ourselves, punish ourselves, and reward ourselves according to agreements that we never even chose. The Four Agreements help us to break self-limiting agreements and replace them with agreements that bring us freedom, happiness, and love. 1. Be Impeccable with Your Word * Your words matter. Be mindful of what you say - use this power of word in the direction of truth and love. 2. Don’t Take Things Personally * It’s not you, it’s me! What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, not yours. 3. Don’t Make Assumptions * Open communication is key! Not understanding something, ask questions, say what you want. We are not able to read minds. 4. Always Do Your Best * With more self-compassion, emotional wellness, health, empowerment, productivity, there will be more success.
