23.01.2022 So I’ve just had my busiest wedding season to date - yep despite covid, and it’s only going to get busier this year. I did teeter into the zone of burn out, after shooting multiple weddings each weekend, and I’ve realised the importance of having a side inspiration that continues to feed my soul. I planted a sunflower patch, with an intention to do a whole field later this year. 3 months watching them grow, by the time they bloomed I was already too mentally exhausted to orga...nise any shoots. But I pushed myself and felt that spirit and buzz lifting inside me after taking these shots with Hayley & Elkie. I found it to be a source of therapy. Like how I feel when I’m exploring the Kimberley & Pilbara - which you will see trickle into my feed. It brings me back to life. So I’ll continue to do these things and share them with you, amongst my weddings. Because it’s also a way for you, my couples, to know about me. 13.01.2022 I met Megan & Jack over a year ago when they were Down South planning their wedding. 2020 came about and their big day in April was approaching. Like so many other couples (thanks to Rona) they postponed until later in the year. So last weekend, they made another trip to Margaret River, which mean’t we got to hang out again and connect on a more personal level. I took some shots of them at the waterfalls, that have recently started flowing after the winter rain. I could feel my heart warming in their playful presence. We then went for golden hour at the beach, shared some bubbles, and had a laugh. I will always treasure the way my work brings new and wonderful people into my life.

11.01.2022 In summer, I get excited to take photos at this spot. It comes to life at a certain time during the afternoon and the beautiful Monarch butterfly thrive on its environment. So when I walk through the golden grass, they will all take flight and flutter around me as I walk through. Quiet an uplifting feeling to experience. 11.01.2022 Han & Ado’s wedding in March. I enjoyed every minute of their day, including getting drenched with the bridal party whilst taking photos in Rotary Park. When you’re surrounded by good friends with high spirts, the rain doesn’t matter, it just ads to the story and memories of the day. Hannah was about 5 months pregnant in her gorgeous Grace Loves Lace gown. Awaiting the arrival of baby McLeod any day now!

04.01.2022 Cotton Field. Back from the Kimberley with Grace. I wanted to drive up for the scenery but figured it was a bit far from Margaret River. Flew to Kununurra and hired a Prado. Visited the Bungle Bungles and Lake Argyle in 39 degree heat. Thank goodness for a cold shower! Today I’m off on adventure number 2, driving from Margs up the West Coast to Exmouth. Get ready for some travel spam. Weddings will start up again in October. Lots still going ahead here in WA and I’m feeling super grateful for that. And yes I had permission from the farmer
