23.01.2022 Yesturday I shared the process involved in placing a custom order and today I thought I would share my Creative Process in bringing those orders to life - Once I have a date locked in and a brief I start the process of creating a design. - Usually I have a concept in mind straight away of what I want to create but I'll also google theme images to draw inspiration from to create my own design. For example if the cake is to have Tropical Beach theme I would look for images of... the beach, the sea,palm trees, birds etc. - And by this I DON'T mean I google Tropical Beach cake and copy one. I take all of these images to create MY OWN DESIGN. - Part of this also involves creating a flavour to match the design. For the cake mentioned I would choose banana coconut, mango, and mint flavour to help tie into the theme. - A sketch is then drawn consisting of all the elements involved in the design, from the cake to the frosting to the decorations. This is sent to the customer with a quoted price for final approval - Then it's baking time This process is used for all of our Custom Items from Doggie Doughnuts to Celebration Boxes
22.01.2022 It was such a pleasure getting to create another custom cake for beautiful birthday boy Duke. His mumma emailed to asked if I could create something again for him this year to share with his friends, a similar size to last year, with 4 pawsonalised toppers but the rest was up to me, love it So I created this, our Jelly Doughnut PB&J Cake. This bad boy is 4 layers of peanut butter and strawberry cake, peanut butter frosting with a beetroot jelly surprise in two of the layers(swipe to see). Decorated with our strawberry, coconut and yoghurt mini doughnuts, pawsonalised cookies and beetroot jelly jewels. Happy Birthday Duke
22.01.2022 This morning's adventures included a coffee stop off at The Lone Pine Riverside Cafe at the Koala Santanury. This cafe kiosk is dog friendly and even though they aren't allowed inside the santanury the cafe kiosk is just outside the gates so pups are welcome and have a designated spot in the cafe seating area and there's beautiful park area with picnic tables and benches. Then we headed to Rainbow Forest Park in Indooroopilly again for a play and a swim and then brunch on the way back @methodtothemadnesscafe Cooper was one happy boy
21.01.2022 It was so nice to have some free time this weekend to spend with family, friends, Phil and Cooper We headed to Raby Bay late this afternoon to take Coops to one of his favourite beaches for a swim and a play. He loves it there, so many happy pups having a great time in the water. Then we took a short drive to Cleveland Point and enjoyed fish and chips(well us humans did) overlooking the ocean. Hope you all had a lovely weekend.
20.01.2022 Have you ever wanted to order a custom cake but not sure how??? I thought I'd share the process behind ensuring you have the pawfect cake for your pup. 1- Send us a message with date you would like to collect your order.... 2 - Once I can confirm this date is available I will message you and ask the following. - What flavour? (A flavour list will be attached) - How many pups it's intended to feed or what size you would like - Budget - if you have a theme or idea behind what you would like. For example Pink or beach themed etc - If there's any "most haves" for example needs to be grain free, would love cookies toppers or doughnuts or carob decorations etc. 3 - I will do up a sketch with notes containing all items requested and a quote on pricing. 4 - If your loving what you see then your cake design will be confirmed. If not we can go back and fourth as much as you like to ensure you have exactly what you would like Every item is fully customisable from flavour to design. 5 - Because it's a custom order full payment is required 2 weeks before pick up and you'll recieve a pick up reminder and pick up time confirmation a few days before your ready to collect your creation.
17.01.2022 It's our Birthday and what a fantastic 4 years it has been. I'm super proud of everything I have achieved so far and how much CC has grown especially seeing as it's my side hussle. I'm privileged to be able to treat your pups and help spoil them on special occasion. And I'm blessed to have the most beautiful customers, I love getting to see your pups enjoying their treaties. I'm also lucky to have an amazing group of stockists and peers. And have met some of the most wonderf...ul people along the way. So thank you and here's to many more CC years. 16.01.2022 The Tart I'm super proud of this little baby I got to use some of those old chef skills developing and creating this beautiful Pumpkin and Blueberry Tart. A thin coconut cookie crust filled with a smooth pumpkin custard topped with peanut butter cream, fresh blueberries,coconut and blueberry yoghurt ovals.

14.01.2022 Today is a rest day (well after a Tart pick up) and I got to spend some quality time with a couple of my besties and their kids (Coops and Phil stayed home to mow the lawn ) We had lunch at @peachandbilly which was amazing. Everyone enjoyer their meals and I can personally recommend the smoked salmon dish. Their hollandaise is the best I've had in a long time. Family and pup friendly with a beautiful courtyard out the back, Coopers Cookies available for their fur friends and lots of delicious menu items for the hoomans. If your in the Chapel Hill area definitely check them out.
13.01.2022 I have had a few people ask recently what products we have stocked at Barkley and Pips??? It can be hard to tell what's ours as all our bakery items are sold individually and unpackaged displayed in their doggy fridge (so there's no branding on them). 05.01.2022 Beautiful Zali turned 3 today and celebrated her birthday with her friends at daycare. Her lovely Mumma ordered some pawsonalised cookies and a cake for them to enjoy Zali has a few dietary restrictions so I customised a flavour to pawfectly meet her needs. This peanut butter, pumpkin and coconut cake went down a treat and was kind to her tummy. Happy Birthday Zali and thank you to your Mumma for trusting us to help spoil you on your special day.

03.01.2022 Running a small business is hard work especially when everything is hand made fresh to order and you need to balance a full time job and day to day life as well BUT it is all made so much easier by having a supportive partner, family and friends And I'm by no means, complaining, I love what I do. It's been a big couple of days of baking and to be honest I'm feeling a little bit run down today so Phil and Coops have hopped in the Cookie Mobile to do deliveries to Sandgate and the Gap so I can get some much needed rest. I can't thank these two enough for always pushing me on and giving me the love and support I need to achieve my goals. Plus this means Coops gets two swims, one at the beach and one at Kedron Brooke

02.12.2021 I worked super long days this week so I would be able to take the weekend off (well there's always some paperwork to do ) Working 7 days a week can take it's toll so when I can take some time to rest I do. Today we had a family day out and took Coops for a play and a swim at Raby Bay. He absolutely loves it there and it was full of happy pups enjoying the beautiful weather. Then we stopped off for the most amazing lunch @thefrenchtable in Cleveland. OMG the food is so good, if you like classic French cuisine you will love it there plus the manager and staff are so lovely and they are super dog friendly.
