22.01.2022 This morning I appeared in the local court at Darwin for some wonderful clients that I am very proud to represent. I also had the pleasure of the company of a couple of my former law students, one of whom ended up being the lawyer for the other side!

17.01.2022 Dr Danial Kelly is a lawyer, mediator and educator. For 10 years he was a law academic at Charles Darwin University and prior to that he was a solicitor with the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency. Danial has been involved with Indonesia since 1993 and regularly collaborates on teaching and research projects with law faculties of Indonesian universities. 10.01.2022 Kelly & Partners welcome Asheesh Shawel to the team. Admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor to the Northern Territory Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia, Asheesh brings on board a wealth of knowledge and experience. Asheesh started legal practice in India in 2002. He immigrated to Australia in 2011 and requalified as an Australian Lawyer. He is also a member of the Governance Institute of Australia, providing him with tangible expertise and comprehension of best... practice governance, risk management and compliance and help in the accurate and effective execution of governance and risk management responsibilities. He has a good grasp of Corporate structures, Not-for-Profit and Charities law. Asheesh also volunteers with Community Legal Clinics providing free legal information and advice on most areas of law, including criminal, tenancy, discrimination, social security/Centrelink, employment, credit and debt/consumer issues and complaints, wills and estates, and Motor Vehicle accidents to name a few. Asheesh is fluent in English and Hindi and has a working knowledge of Punjabi and Urdu.
