24.01.2022 I am rested and all set up ready for another wonderful term. Got some favourite activities happening from water experimenting to insect investigation. Bring on the sunshine. See you all soon

23.01.2022 Our Silkworms are making cocoons. Yeah

22.01.2022 Our poor old cubby house was on it’s last legs,so this week my friends helped me safely take her down and set up an outdoor kitchen right next to the sand pit. Not quite finished but looking good already. The children loved using the real tools with real results.

21.01.2022 Gastro going around, keep your child home if they have symptoms. And wash hands frequently. Fingers crossed it doesn’t come here.

19.01.2022 Little Mr 4 has been asking many questions around time the last couple of weeks. I get questions like Mr 4 How long til 5? Me an hr Mr 4 How long is that? Or How long will that take? Reflecting on this, I found it difficult to explain time to a 4 yr old. Think about it, how do you explain this concept. I have set up this table to make some sand timers and using a stop watch we can time how long the sand falls for. Along with a few other exploration gadgets, puzzles and clocks to experiment with.

17.01.2022 It’s that time of year to update the first aid skills. One skill I hope to never have to use.

13.01.2022 Kelly has got herself an airforce. I know a Couple of you who will be so happy with these.

11.01.2022 A couple of the activities this week. Some role play at the cafe, and workshop, colour sequencing with bears, and a range of other toys and animal patterns.

10.01.2022 Water play is so engaging. Experimenting, communication, problem solving and they don't even know they just had a science lesson.

08.01.2022 Halloween week. What a great opportunity to look at the human skeleton with all these skeletons around for Halloween.

07.01.2022 We did a germ experiment last week. The results are so gross. Control bread that we did not touch is perfectly fine, sanitizer not so bad a tiny bit on it, washed hands probably should have been better and dirty hands will leave you washing your hands very well before eating. Yuk

02.01.2022 One of my little people is very interested in the human skeleton. I came up with some ideas then he suggested to make play dough Skeletons. I gave some thought and came up with black playdough and ear buds cut in half for tiny bones. I am going to extend on this next week as we have had so much fun exploring this interest.
