25.01.2022 We dont seem to read much these days that hasnt been recycled time and again through the camping and 4WD magazines, but this article caught our eye and confirmed our own thinking and travel habits. Ten handy hints to improve your camping holiday: 1. Take a thermos flask - hot water for a cuppa along the way or a midnight childs bottle 2. Do "happy hour" & make it healthy 3. Take your own clothes washing system, especially when camping with small children... 4. Carry spare (quality) toilet paper - dont get caught out 5. Campfire cooking is awesome - plan some meals on a fire if possible 6. Pack your lunch when travelling and save a fortune 7. Maps, GPS & Google your trip, waypoints & destination 8. Take rubbish bags & rags, baby wipes & hand sanitiser 9. Shop along the way - break up the trip, meet interesting characters and sample the local produce 10. We checked the wheel bearings, all perfect, and adjusted the brakes. These are simple tasks but vital to ensure you have a trouble free trip. We can help you with yours too.

20.01.2022 One concern people have about going to Fraser Island is the danger dingoes pose to children. Our strategy for this is to give every child a whistle. If anyone sees a dingo they blow the whistle and all adults know to gather the kids. We have purchased 10 of these to share around.

16.01.2022 One of our favourite trips on Fraser is the drive to the northern most point and then around to the light house. Remember to take shoes with you for the walk up the hill as the track has wooden slats that are tough on bare feet or thongs. "Sandy Cape Light is a heritage-listed active lighthouse located on Sandy Cape, the most northern point on Fraser Island, Queensland, Australia. It stands about 6 kilometres southwest of the northeastern tip of the island. It is the tallest lighthouse in Queensland.[4] Built in 1870, it is the second major lighthouse to be built in Queensland after its formation in 1859."* Wikipedia

I just happened to be driving past them and thought I'd pop in and speak to the owner, Ross. He has sold out of fire pits so here is a photo of ours when brand new. This will last you a life time.
