24.01.2022 Ah this weather. Helping to create some beautiful images like these, of this truly delightful little family. I am so lucky to have clients who act more like friends, even when I have only just met them. This session was one to remember <3

24.01.2022 As I now approach the final stage of my fourth pregnancy, I find my life slowing both unintentionally and also purposefully as I await the arrival of my son. All my aches and pains force me into a quiet and cocooned space of intense physical work and mental wait. Making new life, within my own body is one of the most creative and challenging things I have ever done. I have had very little time or energy to post much here, but photography work has continued and I have been pr...ivileged to capture some precious moments and memories for families over the past few months. Here is a photo of a beloved Grandma and her Grandson. She holds this boy with such tenderness and love. I love the soft sunlight on his face. To me it expresses the light of her love for him and how we are truly seen when we are with and held by those who know and love us. And I love that this sweet baby is doing nothing but being held. To be adored he need not do a thing. What a wonderful thing it is to be caught up in this story of love and belonging. I'll be out of action until next year sometime. 16.01.2022 Beautiful Mumma and daughter. When I photograph families, I often get invited into spaces, both physically (for example I had the privilege of photographing at this families home) and emotionally. Its a vulnerable thing to have your photographs taken. And everyone I have photographed pretty much wants the same thing. Images that capture the true beauty and essence of their children and their family as a whole. ... But there can be pressure for that family, as weather plays up, kids lose focus, people feel tense and forget how to feel and look natural. I say this as someone who feels all of these things myself when I have my own family photos taken. It can feel exposing. But its also distilling. You can see your family, yourself for an instant in time. A snapshot of all you have been through and all you've become because of it. You can see the incredible gift it is to have each other. With all the beauty and hard times and bad news, and hope and laughter and tears and struggle and frustration, and fighting and forgiving. You can be more present to the very gift of life that swims so noisily, gloriously and constantly around you. And I see this in my clients too. Its a privilege to slide into their lives in such an intimate way and to do my best to capture something of the beauty and life that is in and between and around them. And this family...anyone who knows them will tell you, are good, good people. They have a depth to them that has come from boldly facing what life throws their way, from loving others fiercely and I am sure they come from a legacy of good people too. I have witnessed their Mumma be an astounding, unwavering friend, a patient and strong Mother, a loving wife. And this little girl is so, so sweet and open spirited. She is kindness and lightness personified. It was a joy to photograph your family Kait . You are beautiful people, inside and out. No exaggeration. <3

I now charge one set fee for your session and if it goes well and you want extra images, there are affordable bundles you can purchase post shoot! Any bookings for the year will automatically have these privileges too. ... Also, remember, returning clients get $50 off as well. I still have a few sessions open. 15.01.2022 I have loved my recent newborn photo shoots and the way that each family embrace their newest little one. The love and adoration is always so palpable though and it’s such a joy for me to capture.

01.01.2022 "Oh wonder, oh delight, oh hope Ever abiding in the child. As we age, life treads heavy, as sighs run deep. May it remain within us wild. "... Not quite open to regular bookings yet, but it has been nice to have a few shoots previously booked to access the creativity that swims endlessly in me (and you). It felt good to open the floodgates and let it pour out some. I love this photo. I see a posture of love, delight and wonder. A hope for all that is to come for this sweet darling and her family. In particular the hands of a dear brother who just so wants to hold his sister. The simple yearning of love bubbling up from within him. <3

01.01.2022 Oh precious little Dot. How loved and held you are sweet girl. By your sisters here, and so tenderly, so fiercely and completely by your Mum and Dad.... But also by a whole community of people, who love you and your family and would walk to the moon and back to show you their love and support. With her parents permission I share these photos of Dot and her sisters Hattie and Elsie. Dot has Mitochondrial Disease. There is no cure at present. So instead, we will walk for Dot, raise funds and push for a cure. If you can support us and all families affected by this terrible disease, Ill include a link where donations can be made.
