20.01.2022 What goes up, comes down, but then back up again! (Int/adv lift) Great combination, start low, crescendo with a pointed leg to the gods, return to the abyss, and then rise up again into your classic titanic swan dive. Artist: @maclulich , @latingeisha_klc... Music: @djquads Lift notes: 1. The key to generating the circular motion through the legs for Step 1 for the lead is tight gluts thrusting up, but remaining semi-seated (slight bend in the knees) so you have a stable platform for your follow to land on, 2. Ladies make sure you stay connected to your partners right leg as you swing through and as you come up you can release it, 3. Lifting into Step 2 is fairly straight forward, simply raise your partner above your head onto your right shoulder and look a little up so as to allow her to lean back and extend her arms, 4. Step 4 is the tricker part of this lift, as you bring her down note the key points in the video where I hold her, and the movement where she moves her head under your left arm, this gets it into the right position to swing her back up, 5. Like most lifts, you generate the momentum through your legs and at the same time your partner pushes up with her legs and over your head, 6. You can use your left arm to pivot her over your shoulder bringing her legs down behind you, 7. It’s important to make sure her legs swing down a little behind you or else you’ll have trouble keeping her upper body in the air and she will tumble forward. We’re practising here on the grass for safety reasons. Like all lifts, please be careful and make sure you’ve practised each of the fundamentals first a number of times so you feel comfortable with your partners weight and how they move.
