24.01.2022 Today felt like I had travelled all over the countryside, and I'm never unhappy about it. One of my favourite shows growing up was "The Leyland Brothers", that should tell ya how old I am..... Now, I can't tell you where or who I hitched today.....as other then the 2 witnesses, the couple and myself, no one else knows!!. This couple have been awesome to work with, have made me laugh, made me sit in awe and today made me cry....happy tears but today was the only time I...'ve really cried in front of a couple. They melted my heart with their personal vows, and their story thus far is far from just being a story. The world they are creating is hands down going to be amazing, and I'm so honoured to of been able to share today with them. I have to wait about a year before I can actually show any details, but I loved today and loved making some beautiful memories today with a bloody legend couple. So..here are some photos of my adventure today instead. See more

24.01.2022 Every single one of us has said it this past year...."What a Shit Show" 2020 has been in different ways to each of us! I could list a gazillion things that 2020 shat all over for many, including myself. But thankfully, this year did show some kindness and fortune for some who looked 2020 down its barrel and said "Fark You"! And carried on doing what needed to be done and just bloody fkn did it! . Now, I'm not trying to intice another year like this one.....but I joked with ...a colleague/friend this morning about how next year is turning "21", and we know how 21 year olds can behave.... So I will say this... There's still a shit show infiltrating many and many places globally....the war is not won, but if we the fortunate one's can make a small or even just a nice little bit of effort to coax 21 from any major or further shit shows it's thinking of....we might find ourselves in a better place. I'm speaking about kindness, support, encouragement and above all love...then we may just overcome. So right now I want to say Thankyou! Thankyou to those of you who chose me this year to be your Celebrant/MC. If not for you, I would not have my lil biz that I love passionately and which allows me to do something I Love and Believe in. Thankyou to my peers/colleagues/friends in this biz. You all (*mostly..) have accepted me the way I am, who I am and how I do things....usually vastly different from many in our trade. But you didn't judge me or condemn me for my indifferences...you encouraged it! Lastly, to those thinking about seeking my services. My only advice right now when researching your Celebrant is to go with your gut. It's usually never wrong and the celebrant you choose needs to know you both, understand your wants, needs. One of my best traits is knowing/reading people, and when I work with my couples....I get to know you both so when I tell your story, you can be assured it's like I've been there witnessing it first hand. I hope you all have a great NYE and 2021 starts for you with Love, Joy, Happiness, Laughter. So as you'll see, in my photos, I have a "thing" I do. . I'll sign off with for now.... See more

20.01.2022 A "Call to Arms" is probably the most appropriate description of how Scott & Leonie planned their Wedding. But obviously not in the way a general call to arms is assumed. In this instance, Scott & Leonie needed to plan their Wedding in roughly 6 weeks. And there wasn't time to lose! I got a message from a mutual friend of Leonies and I, and with some explanations and immediate conversations with Scott & Leonie, I was booked in to be their Celebrant and MC, and these 2 set... about organising everything they could, wanted, needed and imagined to have the Day they longed for. And also to try and enable that their friends and family had enough notice to work out logistics and timing to be there to Celebrate with a Couple who really just needed fate and destiny to play their part. And play the parts they did. Family and friends all pitched in where they could and Leonie having the ability to lead and organise, a Day of not just Love, but Joy, Pride, Honour and Devotion along with alot of Laughter and Sentiments, these 2 had a Day that even a 34` degree heat (plus a tonne of humidity) couldn't deter...though it did test many off us. Like always I'm always humbled when couples choose me, and even more so when my role means something more to the couple. And this was one of those times. We had @liz_vanderhout onsite to capture these faces and their party, and as always her photos are brilliant. Held at @brockhurst_farm , Debbie and her hubby and team did everything they could to create a magical space. I'm thrilled to have been part of a very Special Day, so thankyou Leonie & Scott....it was a Wonderful Day!. 02.01.2022 It's been a few big months in my little world. Alot of happiness for my wonderful couples, and alot of sadness and crazy on the flipside of that. Making me an almost spectacular juggler now.... Add in my body's decision to think I don't need 1 foot - fractured and tendon/ligament damage from a fall, the other leg requiring a knee surgery in a week due to issues there that need attention and repair, and life throwing crazy curveballs spiked with oh ffs moments, life has bee...n a hell of a ride lately. I completed my last wedding of the year last Saturday, photos to come. Of an amazing couple..like really amazing..the kind of couple that put things into perspective as you quibble over your own stupid stuff...but they've got the fight of their lives happening right now! So my perspective has been tested and I've got new perspectives on things, which this couple have no idea they gave me...but I'm grateful for. I'm back on deck from 9th January 2021, with my first wedding kicking off then. In the meantime....it'll be quiet over here as I take a few weeks to get both legs up and going again. Remember people in my life that have now gone to happier and more peaceful places, and try and get the joy back that unfortunately fell away for a little while. So thanks for your patience in me getting back to some of you. I'll post closer to Christmas but till then....."live, love and honour in all that you do, desire and bring" for these are the traits and qualities of a heart and soul that knows all to well that life can turn you on your head in a second.
