Daily checks: -Is the seat belt still connected and adjusted correctly? OR -Are the ISOFIX attachments still connected and adjusted? -Is the harness adjusted correctly and is it free of twists? -Is the angle aspect correct? -Is the tether strap connected and adjusted correctly? Periodic checks: -Are the shoulder straps adjusted to the correct position? -Do cushion inserts affect safe harness adjustment? -Is Junior too large for their restraint? 04.01.2022 Please like & share this post! It is recommended that you only consider moving your child out of their booster/type G seat once they have passed the ‘5 Step Test’. Here is what to look for: Can your child sit with their back against the vehicle seat?... Do your child's knees bend in front of the edge of the seat cushion? Is the lap belt sitting low across your child's hips and touching their thighs? Does the sash belt sit across the middle of your child's shoulder? Can your child stay seated correctly like this for the entire trip without slumping? Please also consider that all cars are different so you will need to apply these same tests to every car that they are using. In some cases you may find that they come out of a booster/type G seat in one car and will need to stay in a booster/type G seat in another car.
